he's shite.

Every one of them need booed off the field tbh

Doesn't mean you can't feel for him. That must've been awful, walking off to 70 odd thousand cheering your substitution. No money in the world helps imo

Should be hanging his head in shame along with the rest of them.  Embarrassing stuff

I know in the modern world of mental health awareness we are all supposed to feel sympathy with Zirkzee.

But really I just can't do it.

He was born with the natural talent to become a professional sportsperson, the direction and coaching to fulfil that talent, and has landed a guaranteed contract that will make him a multi-millionaire.

He could literally ride off into the sunset tomorrow and play golf every day for the rest of his life.

And the trade off from a a mental perspective? 70,000 people, most of whom wouldn't recognise him if standing beside him, saw him playing a sport badly one day.

Blowitupref

Man United are 8th in the betting to get relegated with Paddy Power at 33/1 while neighbours  Man City who are not in relegation trouble in the table but currently 8/1. They must be playing safe if they are punished with the financial rules verdict?
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Yes, because having loads of money makes everything OK

In any other profession you'd be sacked for gross incompetence. Give me a few hundred k a week and boo and call me what ya like!

Milltown Row2

Guy got subbed for not playing well after so many minutes!

Christ the night,  you're going on as if someone died.

Every manager will be worried now...

Snowflakes everywhere

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

McGregors actions will probably be a wee bit more damaging to his reputation than this fellas bad performance!

Look, someone like Zirkzee earns the equivalent of the national annual wage every 2.5 days, and this is guaranteed to happen to him every 2.5 days for 5 full years.

If this completely out-of-kilter reward is available to footballers, then the very least they should expect is public spotlight when they perform abjectly.

gawa316

Is there harm in feeling sorry for someone regardless of what they earn?

Gary Speeds money didn't do him much good

Ethan Tremblay

When he signed for united, his advisor's would have let him know he would be under the microscope from day 1.

The catch is that their inflated contracts are a result of the huge fan base they have. More fans more scrutiny from the fans, media  pundits etc.

It doesn't make it right of course, but it comes with the territory of playing for a top club.
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...

I wouldn't disagree with that.. What I disagree with is that money shields people from greeting it tight

I've asked, but seems it's been missed.. the guy gets subbed for whatever reason the manager gives, And?

Why are people losing it? And for that matter, why do supporters of other clubs actually care?
