Those Lions uniforms are class. Think them losing has Eagles joint with them at the top of the NFC.

Bills got the early jump on them and that was that. Even though they'll almost certainly have to go to KC, they look to be the team to beat in either conference. Allen is playing at a superhuman level.

It would make for an epic Super Bowl if Bills and Lions could navigate a safe passage. History says you couldn't trust either with a 20 point lead, and what an array of attacking talent.

Lions have the tougher conference. Every team in the NFC playoffs will be contenders to win it. Whereas the AFC is a two horse race with perhaps only Steelers ready to pounce should Mahomes or Allen suffer a setback.

I still think Kansas are the team to beat. Bills win regular season but Chiefs get it done in January. Obviously I'd love the Eagles to do it though.

There's a few results to roll yet for it to happen, but KC might end up in a position in a fortnight's time vs Denver whereby if they win that game they'll be inviting the Bengals into the playoffs. And they wouldn't want the Bengals in the playoffs. Burrow doesn't have their number per se but he does have a winning record against them. Not sure any other team would have that distinction in the Mahomes era.

The situation would get more complicated again should KC lose this week or next (Texans, Steelers, both tough games) as Buffalo have a walkover finish to the season (Pats twice, plus the Jets) and would take home field advantage unless KC win two of their three.

I do adore the way the NFL is structured with divisions, conferences and head to heads all leading into seeded, home or away playoffs. At first glance, from a European perspective it all seems a little complicated and contrived. But really, it's such a clever way of minimising dead rubbers and ultimately producing an end champion who has shown they can do it in both in league and knockout competition.

Josh Allen has a solid record against the Chiefs too. Think it's 3-1 in the regular season but he's 0-3 in the playoffs. The true greats get it done in the playoffs. Burrow does have a playoff win over Mahomes, think he's the only active qb with that on the CV certainly in the last 5 years anyway. I think Mahomes only other losses came to Brady at New England and Tampa Bay.

Regardless, Chiefs are still the one to beat for me. They've earned that respect over the past few years but there's definitely a few teams shaping up nicely as challengers.

Lions (although they're looking tired and hurt, Bills, Eagles and maybe even the Vikings look better then the Chiefs right now, but as you say, until you beat Mahomes in the playoffs he has the right to be the favourite. AFC going through arrowhead obviously helps too, although they did it on the road last year.

I'd say that takes the Eagles out of contention for the 1 seed. Get across the line in the division and put everyone on ice for the playoffs. Pickett was terrible do we need Hurts ready to go for January.

Bengals stay alive but even if they get the help they need to get in, I think they'll go one and done.

It's okay talking about Burrow but he's handcuffed to a lot of idiots there in Cincy. They have no kicker, O line poor, d not great. There's a reason they're struggling to get in and it's not Burrow but there's too many issues there.

That was mad. Terrible clock management and play calling from Taylor but they got out of jail free. Not convinced Higgins' one down the sideline should have counted but Mims' TD definitely shouldn't have either

Bengals win keeps door open for Colts and Dolphins too. Colts have Giants and Jags. Bengals go to Pittsburgh. Denver at a second string Chiefs. Lots of permutations but think whoever makes it in, Chargers are the only one of the WC teams with a chance of upsetting Chiefs, Bills or Ravens, and it ain't a big chance. Steelers falling off a bit having not had any divisional games until W11. If they go to Houston, the Texans might win. Chargers would beat them though.
