It's absolutely a gimmick. Bronny had one less than stellar college season that started with him suffering cardiac arrest. LeBron is a free agent though, so have to assume this is all agreed as part of the effort to keep him.

For those of you in the US the New Orleans Saints v San Francisco 49ers pre season game is on Fox on Sunday evening so you might get a chance to see Charlie Smyth getting in some kicks. He kicked the game winner with 5 seconds to go last week.
