QuotePeter Donnelly too big to add to ticket?

Is Porter not an S&C guy?

Would him and PD not be doing essentially the same job or has PD a wider remit these days ?

Who do we think will join Malachy and his management team? What all do we need and possible candidates to fill the roles? Exciting year ahead for us?
Tyrone Abu!

tyrone08

Realistic target for next year would be  retain Div1 and an ulster final and maybe a semi final spot. An ulster final win and Div1 would be a good year for me.

Ciaran Meenagh would be a brilliant addition. Lot of rumours regarding him being involved in whatever Derry setup is in place next year. Be good to nip in and poach him as well.
Peter Donnelly be the dream addition but probably unrealistic if he is still involved in Rugby.

ONeill

McKenna's Lions into the last four.

He came on today and did fairly well.

Would be nice to get him on board too.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

McKenna wasn't as good we hoped when he came back.

Jesus lads there isn't a county in Ireland wouldn't be excited to have Conor McKenna

On a different note

Feels like an awful long time since we've been in Croke Park. Cannot wait to get back there next summer and cheer on the red hands

:D  apart from making a major contribution to Tyrone winning the All Ireland title including two goals in the semi-final and brilliantly laying up a goal in the final. I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Kerry game in 2023 only time since the All Ireland. Is that right?

Kerry and Dublin x2?

Three hammerings.

Only 1 championship game in Croke Park since 2021. Last time played Dublin in Croke Park in a championship game was 2018 AI Final. Did play the Dubs again a year later in a dead rubber group game at Healy Park.

This is something I dont really understand. What extra coaches are required. If Malachy has been happy enough with Porter and Mc Bride all these years, why would he feel the need to add to that.
I know that Armagh have 5 or 6 coaches involved but I dont think that is a necessity for success

S&C coach
head Physio

Both essential specialist roles. I know Porter has a track record of strength and conditioning but these days he's more of a coach on the training ground, tactical stuff. He takes the lead in the sessions, Malachy interjects and generally conducts business on the sidelines. One to one stuff. Our boys didn't look overly fit last season, I don't remember a strong finish in any game

Head Physio is a critical position as well, particularly with regards to injury prevention. I was speaking to a guy on the Derry panel last year and he was lamenting Peter Hughes departure, for this reason
