Links to Salazar when he was in the thick of it really. The range is remarkable and obviously hugely talented but that regime was hugely tainted and you really have to wonder why you would join in the middle of that.

Fair enough, but Salazar is far from the only dodgy coach around. She moved there after the major controversy around him had already broken, although he hadn't yet been banned, so you'd imagine she was getting tested a lot.

Mightn't be a bad thing though. That leaves them with 3 full days to prep for the 4 x 400m heats. The top athletes including Adeleke wont run in the heats because of the 400m final and others will have run in the 400m semi final tomorrow. Hopefully they can get through

I wonder if Mawdsley should try 800m. She beat Keely Hodgekinson in 400m earlier in the year who herself had a fine win in the 800m final yesterday (and she's trying a long time). Sharlene could excel moving to the longer race but will always be up against it at 400m.

High ranking, what rank would you have given to Luana Alonso?  She was sent home for creating an "inappropriate atmosphere" though insisted she is a victim of "lies"
