It's not just been this year that's been awful. Made 1 QF since winning the AI and it was a trouncing by Kerry.

I suspect the county board are happy to keep Dooher and co. They arent getting paid for it and tyrones county board seem to be miserable gits when it comes to money. Was only a few years ago they tried getting the tyrone players to pay for equipment.

Not sure that stands up to scrutiny. Outside of Dublin and Kerry, have delivered the most All Ireland senior titles in the last 30 years. Very good underage record too. How many outside managers have won Sam Maguires? Two maybe...
And I'm sure Michael McShane wasn't taking Tyrone hurlers for the good of his health.
Look at that sh*t show in Derry and all the money they splashed out...
Is plenty good men here..
Who would you suggest we entice with money?

I could be wrong. But I remember a few players complaining 5-6 years ago about the county board and their unwillingness to pay fuel expenses on time and trying to get players to buy their own foam rollers wtc. Why else would they keep on dooher given that 2022,2023 and 2024 have been horror shows from a tyrone point of view.

Would like to see some combination of peter donnelly, Steve oneill, paddy tally in backroom team at least

One thing the Armagh win shows is how listening to supporters calling for managers to get sacked doesn't really work out too well . McGeeney stuck it out despite all the drama from so called experts for him to go, was same in Kildare and look how they have gone since he went.
Maybe Dooher / Logan should do the same, at the end of the day they won an AI and it's been a rebuild job in the last couple of years, 13 players made their championship debut this year - not many teams can say that in Ireland.
Maybe Dooher should ignore all the critics and stick to his path, despite all the criticism he's a man that has been involved in every single Tyrone AI win at senior level, one as player, two as captain, one as manager, but armchair supporters know more.

Think hoping for Peter Donnelly to get back involved is wishful thinking. He's working for IRFU involved in the Ireland 7s team, was at olympics last week and wherever else in the world the 7s play. I would agree that fitness/S&C appears to have deteriorated since he left the set up.

Going by that we should not have let mickey go.

Reality is that over the last 3 years armagh have improved and were only beaten each time in very tight games.

Tyrone have been well beaten evey year since 2021. Resulting in the worst tyrone performance i have seen in a long time against roscommon.

When you have Cavanagh and McCurry in your team you should be hitting quick counter attacks, not this slow passing back and forth on the 45.

Couldn't agree more. It was a painful watch. And not only that, we looked like we had no plan A, let alone a plan b or c. Our play has slowly disintegrated over the lack 3 years. And with potentially a decent set of players now. Certainly a team that could compete with that Armagh squad.

Have many heard people backing Dooher? anyone I spoke to will want a change. I'd love Dooher and Logan to get it going again but massive changes required

Would like to see a coaching ticket with a sole focus on the county senior team and not double-triple jobbing in clubs and colleges too, that would surely claw a few % back in freshness and focus among mgmt

That was last year's ultimatum, and to be fair Holmes and McMahon stepped back from club commitments

time ticking away

Was the Edendork manager Conleth Gilligan part of the Armagh coaching set up ?
canavan is the man canavan is the man ee aye adi ooh.......

We have literally fallen off a cliff post All Ireland. Any stuff threw at Tyrone about being the worst team to win it has certainly not been done any favours by the 3 years since, absolutely shocking.

The same stuff will be levied at Armagh but you can guarantee they'll be somewhat better than what we've shown since lifting Sam. I don't know how you could be confident on 2025 sitting here today either.

Have we been watching the same football over the last few years? Armagh have been challenging for Ulster for a while now and have been unlucky they haven't won it. You can see a gameplan with Armagh. Capable of playing defensively (even though it doesn't suit the players imo) and when they play quick, aggressive football they look to be the best in the country. What have we seen from Tyrone in the last 3 years that would suggest anything will change?

statto

Who would Tyrone folk like to see on the panel that wasn't there last year? Is there many that have stepped away due to personality clashes with Dooher and Logan?

When you look at Tyrones win in 2021 McGeary hasn't reached anywhere near the heights of that year, McShane has disappeared, McKenna has went back to Australia and Meyler who was a poty contender has had his struggles with injuries also but have had alot of the players that where there in 2021 available but have not been the competitive animal you would expect.
