Any chance of Clare/Galway giving us something worth watching this weekend?

All 4 teams have refused to do media in the lead up.
And yet we still have people saying we need to push all-Irelands in to August to "promote the game" or to "allow the championship to breathe".
The championship structure is not causing a lack of promotion. A lack of promotion is causing a lack of promotion.

So its up to the players to hype the media about themselves?

Unlikely Clare or Galway will cause a shock here. And theres every chance that they could both be beaten well.

Why have they refused?

Management teams don't want their players talking to the media I guess. This isn't new - it's being the norm for some time.
It's their prerogative , and they don't owe the media their time. But when I hear the argument that the split season is affecting the promotion of the intercounty competitions, this is the first thing I think of. They could have the entire year for intercounty and the promotion wouldn't improve.

What is poor Martin Brehony going to write about now?

Cork by 3
Limerick by 7

For all the chat about Limerick always bring out the best in Clare it hasn't resulted in too many victories over the last few years. Moral victories in a couple of Munster finals but it's Cork who have actually got over the line against them in big games a few times. I hope we get Cork v Limerick again but I have a feeling Galway could be dangerous on Saturday if they hang in there long enough

You mean, what is Martin Brehony going to poorly write about now.

"This year will be the last time to play with Clare so I'm looking to go out on a high," said the 32-year-old,

Heading down to Saturday game which could be a cracker.
Cork rightly favourites but Galway won't fear them
Limerick will cruise into the final on Sunday

Currently in ischia would there be an online link for tomorrows game i could stream to the tv?

Clare's record against Limerick in recent years is rather poor.  Combine the renewed focus Limerick have this season and I think the only question is how much they win by.

Cork/Galway a more intriguing matchup.  If for no other reason than Cork's ability to find a way to lose when they shouldn't(past 2 AI finals).  I expect Cork to impose its dominance or to do serious damage when they are on top.  If neither of these things happen then it will feel like Cork looking to keep the drought going.

Looking back at the league game, Cork must have had a rough bus trip(did it break down and the players had to get out and push?) because it took them 25 minutes to show up.  Unfortunately for Galway, they did the same thing as they'd done against Tipp - endless wides.  I've also seen this in the occasional Leinster championship game.  At what point do we stop saying "it's a bad day" and consider it to be a skill issue?

In other words, Galway must take their points, not send the slither on a world tour with half their shots.  At the other end, deny Cork goals.  That's the key to containing Cork and making them uncomfortable.

Rory Burke not on the matchday panel so you can assume he didn't make it back from the hamstring injury he got early on v the Dubs. That's a big blow to Galway, but not fatal.

Galway look to have a bit of youth and pace about them now and won't be phased by Cork in that regard, but Cork are hardened at this level now and we've yet to see how Galway cope if Cork up the ante.

Alan Connolly is down to start, he's had a very poor year to date in big games and will need to right that and give Cork a proper scoring threat if the scores start to dry up for Cork like it did in the second half of the Munster final.

Galway will probably approach this in a similar manner to how they dropped a load of lads back against Dublin and concede a lot of long range scoring chances to Cork.
If Cork rattle those over Galway may need to come out and play a bit more and support young Rabbitte a lot more.

I think this game will be the better of the two this weekend but Cork will shade it.

Limerick are coming into the Clare game with a full hand it seems. A strong bench to call upon if Clare do put up the expected fight.
Clare haven't managed to get Conor Leen ready for this game and their defence was porous enough v a limited Dublin with Guilligan needing to pull off quite a few saves that day.

Limerick could well be very ruthless here and Shane O'Donnell may be leaving Croke park as a player for the last time on the back of a big defeat.

Cyril Farrell fan

Rory Burke is a loss. He is the kind of player Cork would have struggled to contain.
I'm quietly confident though. Cork will have learned nothing from the Offaly match. There is a still a suspicion that they have a very windy forward line. Their backs can be got at too. I'd expect Galway to set up to limit space for the Cork attack and then create space in the Cork half.

Galway by 3.

Captain Obvious

Watching the semi-finals on BBC for a change. Cork footballers flopped badly against Connacht opposition last week, Cork hurlers will hardly do the same today?
