Mens 1500(haven't looked at results yet) probably interesting today too.

I hope Sarah Healy can do something in the 1500 and put the 5000 behind her. It would be great for her confidence.

Yeah, she's just about broken 11 for 100m and her PB at 200m is 22.1. This season alone, without a major championship in play, Julien Alfred ran a 21.5.

Schippers for those of you who remember her breaking through and beating the very best with a few eyebrows raised about her ran 21.6 something.

A medal at next year's Worlds would be a pretty big surprise.

Schippers seems to have disappeared again? Maybe it's age I don't know.

What Dina Asher Smith used to achieve vs what she looks like now (the 200 was a very good race for her these days) also stands out a bit.

Schippers is retired a few years more. She had 2-3 years where she was medalling and then had a couple of injuries, coaching changes etc and wasn't really heard from again.

I'd not see anything ropey about Asher-Smith. Her best times were at the "lower end of World class", if I can say that while sitting on my sofa eating skittles. She got her 200m gold, while thoroughly deserved and hard earned, in a non vintage year where she didn't have any of the three big Jamaicans in the race.

Yeah I wouldn't think Asher Smith doped either but there are a few races you see with her where she now looks pedestrian compared to medaling. That one last night was her best one in a long time.There's a lot of talk about coach flo though on that front.

She's going a long, long time by athletics standards in fairness to her. She was straight into elite level competition coming out of juniors so while she's only 30 or 31 I'd say she's on the far side of the hill in terms of competitiveness at a global level.

Has been remarkably consistent and injury free over the years.

What's the chances of Hodgkinson finished behind both Werro and Bol in the 800m. Very possible. Should be a hell of a race.

Until Bol beats a big name in a final (aware this is her first final at the event  ) I don't think she can be favoured but she looked incredibly relaxed behind Hodgkinson, who looked to be working hard enough.

She was inviewed after the race the other day and said she was fine. A few scrapes. I haven't heard anything since, so assuming shes ok.

Aye she's so smooth. Beatrice Chebet's world record is 28:54, whilst Battocletti's pb is 30:38. Just shows you how good Chebet is.
