ill be very surprised if LVG is still manager by the end of the week.

From what ive read the only thing keeping him as manager is the incompetent board who cant decide who the next manager should be.

Dont think much blame can be laid at the Board for this one, the cry after Moyes from the fans was for an experienced European manager and with his CV LVG was among the top candidates available at that time.

Also the club obviously dont want to get into a cycle of investment and then change when it isnt working, everyone knows that LVG is a sitting duck now and if he doesnt go before the end of the season he will go in the summer. But who is out there to realistically replace him and guarantee the type of football that the fans are demanding?

A big problem is Woodward knows nothing about football but the Glazers according to reports hang on his every word and as LVG is Woodwards choice he's reluctant to sack him because he might lose some of his credibility with the Glazers. The owners aren't bothered what style of football we play, that won't be the reason Mourinho won't get the job. Mourinho's teams are not as bad to watch as what we've had to put up with the last 18 months.

LVG was only going to be here for 3 years so the board should surely have been planning his replacement, it looks like Pep was never under serious consideration otherwise they'd have moved on him along time ago because they were well aware City have been in talks for years with his representatives.

My first choice was always Klopp, I wonder will he live to regret taking the Liverpool job;  Given the squad he's inherited and he doesn't have the same resources he'd have have at United to get it right. If Klopp was still out of a job I'd have expected United to offer him the job.

Well Klopp is a non runner now he will be tied in for a good while at Liverpool regardless of resources or squads. He would have been the ideal choice IMO as well but that's another candidate gone.

So who are the board going to be looking at now, not that many top class managers that fill the style and the type of character that the club would be looking for.

They might fire LVG and give Giggs the temporary role, if he gets them a top four finish they might keep him, at least they would go out swinging, playing attacking football, stretching teams and give the fans something to enjoy for a change.

Have you considered the possibility he may have been approached and he turned United down? You know,the way Klopp did.

Feck there was one of the greatest freezes in investment by the Glaziers in Fergies last couple of years. His genius kept the club competitive and winning things.

Only panic buying ensued after the first six months of Moyes and continued since. Decent players are afraid to go to Utd at the moment.

From the former heights, the club is in trouble. But 4th is still attainable and the run away bunch at the top have not exactly ran away? And all the so called stable clubs such as Arsenal, City, Liverpool and Chelsea don't look it. Despite all the doom and gloom, Utd are only a good signing away from being a decent side.

If we fail to finish top 4 this year which will happen without a change of manager they will have missed out on about £60m for failure to qualify for the CL in 2 years. They will be worried about their Addidas deal as their is clause in it should United fail to qualify for the CL for 2 seasons in a row, this clause may well apply to several sponsorship deals. There is a huge increase in revenue for this season due to the new Addidas and other sponsorship deals which will take the clubs revenue over £500m so there's a bit breathing space this season but next seasons a different matter.
