St Endas have been SW for a long time.  And NA for hurling.

Geography wise they are Newtownabbey which is not NA or SW but yeah juveniles up to under 14 play in those leagues, everything is All County above that so there's that

So they play North Antrim competitions at every level up to and including Senior in hurling.

Football I am not sure they still take part in the O'Cahan Cup but they play all juvenile competitions.

They also play U14 hurling in South Antrim (Belfast essentially)

grt victory for the lads, brilliant spirit to dig it out. The last Wicklow gl was certainly a square ball.

That was some comeback.

They sure are north Antrim and SW  ;D

I'm glad you've finally admitted it

Hectic

We digress.

Main point wasn't about St Endas but rather the lack of players, or lack of players committing, from South and West Belfast.

That's not a dig either.  It's a frustration that we cannot seem to fully harness that potential.

Soccer is king in the city unfortunately.  In the country, boys play soccer in the winter to keep them ticking over to gaa season. In the city, boys play GAA to fill the gap in the soccer off season.  That's the reality.

Soccer certainly an issue in parts but don't think it is the only one as a number of non soccer lads not lining out.

fundamentally lads don't seem to see the value in being a county minor and we'd be better understanding what the obstacles are on that.

imtommygunn

The thing is , and I am not exactly sure if last number of winners, but are city clubs not the past few winners in minor? E.g. st Brigid's are always up there and st Paul's have won it of late?

imtommygunn

Ah how could I forget portglenone... Broad point still stands though

All about the pitches, playing in the rain ok, most pitches have been rock hard so it might be ok

The rain was needed,  some would argue the pitches where TOO hard.
