Wee Roddy

If Errigal Ciaran hadn't of got this run of injuries they have then they would be favourites to retain the championship in 2013 in my opinion. As it stands they still will be hard to beat but I think Dromore with just shade it. It certainly is an open championship and any one of 6 teams could win it in my eyes. Its interesting to see a few posters not even considering Carmen who should have got to the final last year with a small rub of the green. Interesting in the league it was the lesser known teams that caused Carmen bother but they beat Coalisland, Ardboe, Omagh, Clonoe, and Dromore, drawing with Errigal (all teams more fancied for the O'Neill Cup that them) but losing to Greencastle, Eglish and Donaghmore!!

9 out of 10 Carmen teams will beat Cookstown in the championship.  only through a curved ball in there to get a spicy reply... you have got diplomatic in yer auld age!!

Greencastle v Eglish 8.30pm Fri 6th Sept Omagh - Eglish will pull through in a tight game.

Augher v Donaghmore 6pm Sat 7th Loughmacrory - Almost too close to call but Donaghmore have turned things a round in the last few weeks.

Trillick v Ardboe 6pm Sat 7th Pomeroy  - Think this could be Ardboe's year.

Derrylaughan v Coalisland 6pm Sun 8th Edendork - Coalisland by 7-8 points.

Cookstown v An Charraig Mhor 8.30pm Fri 13th Omagh - Could be a banana skin for Carrickmore but expect them to come through by 3-4 points.

Killyclogher v Moy 5.45pm Sat 14th Galbally - Killyclogher could be the surprise package of this year's championship.

Clonoe v Omagh 3pm Sun 15th Dunmoyle - Clonoe to come through by 4-5 points.

Dromore v Errigal Ciaran 6.15pm Sun 15th Carrickmore - Wouldn't write off Errigal completely but I think Dromore will shade this.

Galbally v Gortin    4.30pm   Sat 7th   Loughmacrory - Two tight games between them last year, Gortin came through in the replay. Mossey's return is a big boost.

Brackaville v Dungannon   4.30 pm   Sat 7th   Pomeroy - Brackaville to win by 2-3 points.

Stewartstown v Kildress   DRAW  4.30pm   Sun 8th   Edendork - Kildress have had 3 draws in the league and Stewartstown have had 2 draws.

Pomeroy v Strabane   8.00pm   Sun 8th   Omagh - Strabane are in good form, can see them winning handy.

Eskra v Edendork   4.15pm   Sat 14th   Galbally - Hard one to call, Eskra are going well and may go on another run like last year.

Clann na nGael v Urney   5.45pm   Sat 14th   Strabane - Urney without breaking sweat.

Derrytresk v Rock   1.30pm   Sun 15th   Dunmoyle - Both teams struggling, this could be a relegation play off in a month or two. Rock by 4-5 points.

Aghyaran v Moortown   4.45pm   Sun 15th   Carrickmore - Moortown look too strong at the moment.

Are Coalisland still missing a few of their players? I thought some had went to the states over the summer.

I think Errigal will struggle to get by round 1.  A tough draw for a team that will have their championship know how but ultimately routinely disappear when their big names retire. Dromore will be most peoples favourites but its no fun to back an outright leading prospect.   The Clonoe /Coalisland axis have a chance if they get a win or two and who can beat Carmen? - very few!! but my favourites this year from a dark horse to an old horse are Augher and Ardboe.  Augher are having a dream season have so much history to them and have a convenient first round draw at a pitch they love.  Big Cassidy will be a huge boost to them.  Is there a better midfielder in Tyrone footballer who dosent live in Moy. They might be a very hard physical outfit but they can play football and mix it to so hats off to the lads.  Ardboe are my other A team, defintely worth a punt with Coney , Mc Guigans and a football heritage so rich theres few rival them when they get a run at it.  So its double A for me.

Enda clarke of greencastle would be a better club midfielder than cassidy for a start.
Can see donaghmore beating augher, after all augher are like the aghyarn of old really only performing at home.
Forward line is questionable to with cloghers darragh kavanagh being their chief marksman but from seeing him for omagh cbs, st ciarans ballygawley and tyrone minors he is very easily curtailed.
Jamie Donnelly is arguably the best free kick taker in tyrone but can frequently be uninvolved in open play, while darragh donnelly has gone back alot from his tyrone minor form of 2010.
So can't look past a rejuvanated donaghmore team.

Aren't you a Donaghmore man?  This is a sneaky post, very sneaky.
