Galbally v Gortin    4.30pm   Sat 7th   Loughmacrory - Gortin won last year but Mossey playing for a club in London will be a big loss and makes Galbally favourites as they are in better form this year - Galbally

Was Mossey not back playing in the league? Or is he not allowed to play in the Championship just?

Club Rossa

Don't know why we are such heavy favourites tomorrow night. One final appearance in 15 years is a very poor return for a club with such a rich championship tradition.Trillick will give us all the bother we can handle.

Eglish 2-10 Greencastle 0-11. Gregory and Damian Jordan with the goals.

Thoroughly desereved win for Owen Roes last night. Bad sign for Clogher when both midfielders and full forward were taken off. One wonders if Clogher just thought it was a matter of turning up.

Clogher were very flat. Not sure if it was complacency, nerves or what. I kept waiting for them to start... and start... and start... It never came. Saying that we didn't play well at all either. A lot of unforced errors that we got away with. However really dug deep in the last 10 minutes to repel Clogher. It was nearly our team winning by one and eeking it out as opposed to winning by 6 or 7.

Eglish 2-10 Greencastle 0-11. Gregory and Damian Jordan with the goals.

Two goals swung game for eglish. Few questionable changes on the line from greencastle, taking off the big midfielder darren mckenna for second half allowed eglish to get on top at midfield which lead to 1-3 without reply for eglish and greencastle just didnt have the firepower to overturn that lead.
Conall McNulty had a brilliant game completely roasting john mccullagh and the three mckenna brothers were very good.

The league game between them Will be far important than last nights game though.

History made last night with the first Championship game held in Garvaghy. In fact I think someone mentioned that it was the first competitive game held there. Drumragh beat Beragh 1-10 to 0-9. No dug outs and no outside taps was a bit of a balls, but good to get a game up there and even better to get the win.
Drumquin. Drumragh beat Drumquin. ::)

Great set-up up there, obviously still a few things to finish. Surfaces look great.
Someone mentioned last night that they're going to build a stand for 5000? Any truth in that as I don't really see the need!

A stand would be a good idea if there are going to be a few Championship games there. Also there may be the odd time when naughty clubs have to play each other at neutral grounds! ;)
if we are going to play the championship in september & october every year another championship venue to play night games under lights would be useful!

It would be Baltic up there in Autumn & Winter! Probably in the spring and summer as well! It's a fantastic development but I agree a stand would be essential if there are going to be regular games scheduled.  Definitely a venue for thermals under your thermals and fans huddled together for heat! I didn't notice any fast growing greenery either as it needs a bit of shelter  - a game would be ruined there on a windy day.
Who's a bit of a moaning Michael tonight!

Brackaville 2-11 Dungannon 2-9, last minute punched goal by Martin Gervin finishes off a dramatic comeback. An exciting game, Dungannon will be kicking themselves though.
