Only speculation but heard from a few fellas that he had been wearing one of them magnetic nose breathing strips while playing. Referee had enough and sin binned him for a few minutes. Probably his best call of the evening 👍

Omagh pinned EC to the collar. The referee favoured EC in some decisions, especially the hop ball, Omagh needed another forward to take scores. They missed 3 x 2 pter opportunities. EC were very ordinary!

Thon Fullerton boy ever get a look in at Tyrone Seniors?

A very talented lad but I don't think he has the mentality to stay with a County team

Truthsayer

Edendork literally and figuratively no middle. Carrickmore ran through them, could have got 4 goals.
On paper that Edendork team should have won easy.. lacking testicular fortitude.

thebigfullforward

Have watched Edendork in 4 league games this year 3 of them featuring county players and the first round gams against Dromore. They just don't look like they're playing as a team at times. Seen against Killyclogher in the league especially and at times in those other games that if something doesn't go Morgans way he won't stop complaining about it.

Ben Cullen never really stood out in the games I watched. He'd have a good 5 minute spell but apart from that you wouldn't notice him which is strange because when he was getting gametime for the county I rated him quite highly.

On paper they have the players but from the games I watched none of them really grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. They had a really good final quarter against Carmen in the league but that was a significantly diminished Carmen side

TheDergView

Very strange game in Pomeroy. Edendork left a serious amount of chances behind, mc curry was on fire, and they just stopped feeding him?
Number 10 and Harry Og would need there own ball. 2 greedy bastards.
As for Morgan, soft as shite. Does nothing but give out. Obviously the 2 county men (Cullen & Conn) would have made a huge difference, did they pull up in the warm up?
On another note Carmen were hungry, and impressive. Malachy should have Fullerton, Cormac munroe and Rory Donnelly's phone's rang by now. Class acts

Aaron Boone

Carricmore now serious contenders. The drought has to be broken.

DaleCooper

Would be good for the county to have them as contenders. The Errigal Carrickmore battles in 90s were great

ManFromMoygashel

That is the semi finals I wanted to see!

Lough v carmen - couldn't call it, league form goes out the window for this derby. But I'll be wanting lough to win that one.

Trillick v Errigle - Again two teams well used to the other, and after this week they will both need to step it up. Leaning towards trillick just cause i don't want to see a back to back.

Trillick V Pomeroy - have a spread of scorers that Pomeroy wont be fit to match up with them all. Think Pomeroy give a decent account of themselves but Trillick will pull away.
Errigal Ciaran V Omagh - again think Omagh will give a good account of themselves. Full out Omagh are still a decent team and have good defenders to match up to an extent with Errigals forwards. Midfield will likely prove to be the winning of the game for Errigal and Omagh probably lacking a forward or two to really challenge to get the result.
Edendork V Carrickmore - Fullerton and Munroe back are massive for Carrickmore and immediately make them a 5-10 point better team. Conditions in Pomeroy could play a big part however which could be tricky and the wind will favour Edendorks big kickers in Morgan and McCurry. Still think Carrickmore now they've players back from injury and travelling.
Donaghmore V Loughmacrory - Loughmacrory better all round - while both have dangerous forward lines, Loughmacrory's are more established and experienced and defensively match up better. Midfield should favour Loughmacrory with the Donaghys but Donaghmore showed against Galbally they are stronger around the middle than people give them credit for.

Be great to see Errigal V Trillick and Carrickmore V Loughmacrory in the Semi Finals. Would prefer not to see the same final for the third year in a row.
Good shouting. Pomeroy showed better and for longer than I expected and Omagh can consider themselves very unlucky. Two very good performances from both. Referees very questionable.
Donaghmore be looking back with regret with the amount they missed. Carrickmore full value for their win.
Sets up two brilliant semi finals.

Themanupnorth

3/4 games this weekend have been awful officiating.

Better in the donaghmore vs lough game, ref let the game go with plenty of hard hits and was strict on the over carrying.

I suppose is how you see these things. Was at both semi-finals. Chatting to a man from Moortown thought ref was very hard on Edendork. Later talking to man from Dungannon thought he was overly favourably to Edendork. True 🤷
Don't think the refs decided either of todays games... however Errigal-Omagh yesterday he did have huge influence on result imo.
All opinions!

Quote from: Rebel84 on September 28, 2025, 09:04:21 PMthought ref favourable to edendork,
but the ref shafted Donaghmore in their game bout halfway mark in second half, gave advantage when the only advantage really on was the free in, let play continue but didn't go back for the free, lough go straight down and score a 2 pointer, horrible weekend for tyrone refs

Agree on this but from memory that happened more than once but only one resulted in a score. Total inconsistency in how long he allowed advantage to both teams but Donaghmore felt the brunt of it in that occasion you mention. Turned a 1 point lead into a 3 point lead.
The Omagh game was a disaster for Meenah - useless officiating especially the 2 ridiculous calls against Omagh in the last 5 minutes. Incredibly I walked out from the game and overheard 2 Errigal men complaining about him!!!
The issue that concerns me is who assesses and monitors these performances and who appoints them - they need to be asking themselves a few serious questions.
Players, management and set ups train 9 months to get f**ked over by very poor officiating.
A very poor weekend for overall officiating in Tyrone
PS - have the linesmen just forgot the 3 man up rule or are they blatantly ignoring it?

Grace Murphy

Overheard some carrickmore hard cases on the way out of Pomeroy talking about great to see some tradition back. They still a bit like Co Down.

Lough boys say they will live to regret the day they packed the stand to give there boys and aghyaran man a hero's applause after the game. They sold the dvd of that in Carmen Inn. Think it's sold out!
