Fitness of referees is a problem in the county, there was a bit of a handling a few years back when a ref claimed the fitness results were being doctored to allow refs to pass...looking at that today you'd tend to think that's the case indeed.
To be honest, I thought there was some very strange calls made that went against both teams, just a poor show by the officials from start to finish.

Anyone know what Meylers card was for? Off the ball so didn't see it myself and no-one around us seen it either

These performances of late make me wonder if match fixing/betting/bribes goes on behind the scenes of some games with officials.

In the sports own nature a referee will never truly be 50/50.

You can deny the idea of bribes/inside betting/fixing, but I do honestly think it's something to consider, as it happens in every other sport, why not ours?

Shane Meehan needs to get back up to Garvaghy and do that bleep test again. Couldn't keep up with the play and blowing very questionable calls. Shocking display of refereeing.

Easttyrone23

That has to be one of the worst refereeing displays I've ever seen.

Carmen Stateside

Meehan was always a crap ref. How he hasn't been chased years ago is beyond me

They will keep Errigal and Trillick apart in semi final anyway

Meehan... holy f**k. What is with the standard of refs in Tyrone? Horrible.
Should be letting younger, fitter refs do these games that are all action. I.e Gallen from our club, your man with the glasses from Newton, (Hatton is it?), or Gormley from Drumquin.

The 3 of them donkeys nearly make Rambo look like a good ref ffs

Some performance from Omagh.. bossed most of that game and bullied Errigal at times
Meyler as usual targeted of the ball and when on it
The hop ball for over carrying by Errigal ultimately won them the game as goal came from it.. should've been a free out
Omagh prob needed abit more from Ronie oneill. Their defence was superb

The 2 pretenders should be out of the championship these past 2 nights ..
Tyrone championship the best

JuniorBAllstar

I wouldn't let that Gallen Donkey referee go games never mind a senior quarter final

NotedObserver

Wasn't sure we'd see Meyler in the Tyrone championship again but he dud well. Oisin miller something about him as well. Errigal still got plenty of threats with Oguz, McDonnell, d Canavan and Harte the key ones to stop going forward

Anyone know why he went with the outside of the boot for both the 2 point free chances in the first half? Thought he'd be better taking it off the ground or at least the inside. Doing it the first time strange enough but to do it a second time was baffling

Must have been the wind and felt the outside of the boot had best chance of reaching

Only speculation but heard from a few fellas that he had been wearing one of them magnetic nose breathing strips while playing. Referee had enough and sin binned him for a few minutes. Probably his best call of the evening 👍
