Ruairi McHugh
Conor Oneill

Was McHugh in the development squad? Has he been going well for the fianna?

Both men will hardly see game time, but perhaps an eye on next year. New rules suit both. Two quality players... Just a bit surprised at the timing

Has this been printed or just you heard it? Not doubting it of course. Conor Oneill underage next year for under 20s isn't he?

Heard that as well. I assume mchugh is to help out with the midfield issue given his height and altheicsim

Anything on the fitness of Brian Kennedy and Hampsey?

Can we lose to Cavan and progress?
Fantasy Rugby World Cup Champion 2011,
Fantasy 6 Nations Champion 2014

If Cavan bear tyrone then the only way ti progress is if mayo beat donegal.
Cavan would top the group in that scenario on a head to head basis over mayo.
Similarly donegal would finish bottom on a head to head basis v tyrone.

Very strange call ups. If McHugh wasn't good enough to be part of the squad from the start of the year, hard to see what he can offer at this point with no training or games.
O'Neill undoubtedly will be a Tyrone player in time, good option potentially for the half forward line.

Timing  good! reflex! its essential. Young inexperienced but talented and strong. That is the solution to the '2 big men' problem Tyrone have had for years coupled with Kennedy and Hampsey with the intelligence of Meyler to come in and carry ball effectively mebbbe best in last 30mins (provided McHugh keeps his head if called on) Also l cannot believe P Harte has only 25 minutes a game in him ( on from start to kill the game and replace with Meyler to carry and finish it off calmly. Against Cavan 'for ignorance' strength, confidence and killer instinct are surely crucial. This is a massive self created banana skin for Tyrone and who is the Mr. Motivator in the mgt. 'team' (?). Still smacks of happy go lucky 1970s style management We need science, conditioning and detrmination bourne of confidence in the message (ie. a McGeeney or a new M Harte). All the talent is there. Where is the pitchside General they can believe in?

What injury does Kennedy have? Thought it was concussion but maybe something keeping him out longer?

It feels like the Kennedy injury is more serious than what the management has been letting on. We shall find out tomorrow if he doesn't play at any stage.

Yes rumours of worse than first feared. Huge miss and players need to step up

Red flag was them bringing in 2 midfielders into the setup during the week.

I'd be delighted if other step up, but massively surprised if Tyrone get anywhere this year without Kennedy.
He is vital to the current team.
