Malachy is a class manager... credit were due as there were a few here only too keen to lay into him after relegation and the Armagh game and him just took over. He'll do good.. great performance 👏

Very strange with Canavan, thought the new rules were ideal for him. Today he was doing a huge amount in defence when they needed him up front

reddgnhand

That team needed a big result. They can only go one way now.

Darragh will be fine. Singled out big time the last two games but never stopped working with others benefiting from extra space. A proper team player and he'll have more obvious days in the sun soon enough.

Great win tonight - and to win in that manner going down the home straight after losing key men and Donegal then going ahead - is a huge boost. Lots to work on still but after the general progress the last few months we needed a big win and tonight we got it. Well done to Malachy and the team.

That win will keep Jerome quiet for a bit.
Until Wednesday at least

Jerome

A big win, a good performance, winning break ball. Malachy needed that one, his first big win as manager.

McGeary excellent. Teague really strong when on.

Patton was a major loss for Donegal make no mistake.

Jerome

Not sure what you mean, I was the one during the week saying I thought Tyrone would win

Quote from: Jerome on May 21, 2025, 07:25:59 AMReally fancy us this weekend versus Donegal. Had had a long time to prepare and plan since the Armagh game. Donegal bound to be in recovery mode for a few weeks.

PMG1

Darragh was marked by Brendan McCole who is an outstanding man marker, probably the best in the country at the minute. He will have better days against lesser defenders

Silly stuff like this i suppose

Great result
Bit of balls shown on the home straight
Would say our best result since 2021 final?

Scoring Zone

Got the sense from the warm up and post -game reaction Tyrone was completely all in (pickup and loss and summer over) and got a massive win that gives O'Rourke some momentum now, got brilliant bounce from the bench and given Kennedy, Hampsey and Canavan where quiet/got knocks, it was nice to finally nip them in that kip in a game that was meaningful

Kennedy got some rattle
Done well to get up and play on
McCurry putting in a big year
Hard to see now how Gallen was an all star last year

I remember that comment. Beyond crass. Sitting waiting for Malachy to lose for opportunity to have another snide go at him...

NotedObserver

Was there a man of the match given out?

PMG1

Michael Langan deservedly got it, you couldn't argue but McGeary wudn't have been far behind him
