Do Tyrone need to drop the policy of only employing from within the county?

Can't see that happening. Think only us, Dublin and Kerry have this policy (I stand to be corrected). Personally, I want the policy to continue. It would be an admission that there's no one good enough within the county to do the job. I would never believe that.

John Donnelly was a Fermanagh man. Think when Tyrone won Ulster in 56 & 57 Gerry Brown was from Down. 1st AI minor team was managed by a Dub Peter O'Reilly.

Is there an argument to try and rest up this weekend?  We're facing 3 battles in a very short period of time with the last one being up against a fresh kerry,dublin or armagh/galway. 

Take the foot off the pedal, focus on an away game the following week.  Or, go hell for leather this weekend and chances are, still end up in second place.

Given the most likely scenario this weekend is still second or third regardless of result as Donegal should beat Clare with plenty to spare, management should use the game to build the fitness of Harte, Burns, Oguz, Kilpatrick and give extended game time to O'Hare. I would also stick with Clarke who had a good game against Clare and stick with Ruairi Canavan whos confidence will surely improve with 70 minutes under his belt and a few good scores late on. Having 20 odd players in good condition and competing should have us in reasonable shape for Prelim QF and Quarter Finals.

Cork will be formidable opposition and if I'm correct, second place gets home advantage against third place team in next round so be best to beat Cork.. for that reason I wouldn't be putting Niall Devlin (MOM on Sunday) on the bench.

Donegal are certainly in pole position for top spot as you would expect them to beat Clare fairly comfortably, although we still have a chance of finishing top if we can get a decent win over cork so I still think we need to put out a very strong team. That being said i would like to see Mcgarrity, Cormac Donnelly and mcelholm get game time as feel like they could potentially be game changers if we do reach the latter stages of the championship. I would start Harte and burns as well as they need to build fitness after their injuries. I'd go 1.Morgan 2.devlin 3.hampsey 4.Clarke 5.Cullen 6. Burns 7. Harte 8.c Donnelly 9. Kennedy 10. Daly 11. Calling someone an imbecile for wanting a young lad to get some experience under his belt? By your logic young lads will never get game time as they don't have county experience

I would be shocked if it was anything but our strongest side out now over the next few weeks. Of the experienced ones that have been out injured I'd say we could see a start for Petey Harte. Probably sub appearances from Burns and O'Hare and to be honest would rather see McElholm coming on rather than McShane/McGarrity/C Donnelly.

For the game that's in it I just suggested building the panel as much as we can. I'm not suggesting in the Prelim QF to start OHare nor am I suggesting Niall Devlin loses his place. Just for this Cork game, where realistically it's a game to decide home advantage and Healy Park is hardly a fortress, that we give other players experience and give ourselves an many options as we can for the next stages.

Agree we need to get our best team out and get back into the winning habit. Agree with your sub appearances also but do think we need to keep giving mcShane game time to get him back to his best.
