So I take it from that Rois we can expect to see at least Clarke & maybe RoN

No idea Fuzz, just asked the PRO about the U21s last night as I was in a meeting with him when he sent the team announcement.

As an aside, we had our first committee meeting in Garvaghey last night.  Seniors were training on one pitch, minors on another, referees doing fitness tests on another.  Other committees elsewhere in the building.  It was brilliant to see the hive of activity.
And I can report that club teams have booked and used it, schools matches have been played up there, and whilst nowhere near the finished article, it is very encouraging at this early stage.
Rois, it seems everyone can use Garvaghey except the County Hurlers. One of our lads was saying they werent allowed to train last night even though only 3 of the other pitches were being used so there were 2 spare pitches. In the Club Tyrone brochures I had seen the claim was that Garvaghey would be the home of all Tyrone GAA teams. Seems strange that the senior footballers have trained there at least 15 times while the senior hurlers have only been allowed in twice!!

Nrico replied earlier that the case with our hurlers was different.
What happened was they had a player sent off at the kilmacud 7's.

They assumed that no suspension would be given as it was a tournament.

When they submitted there team for the programme for the following weeks junior final the question was asked by there opposition how we could name this player as he had been sent off the previous week.
An executive member of county board, who originally asked the question, told them by email that as the player in question was sent off in a tournament no suspension would apply.

They won the game and 2 days before their Ulster club game they recieved an email that the player got a 4 week suspension(this notification was sent out 5 weeks after the incident and 4 weeks after the final) and that they were though out of ulster.
There opponents had made the county board aware of the player being sent of but as they didn't put in an official objection the penalty was "forfeiture of game without award to opponent. The player in question also got a 24 week ban.
It was appealed but turned down, the email from the county board official was deemed irrelevant and they were told the onus is always on the player to check his eligibility.

This is very similar to the Dromore case as I believe Ardboe haven't lodged an appeal.
Surely the same rules have to be applied and Dromore are through out with Ardboe not getting back in! This would mean 1 team receiving a bye to the final.

Regarding the info you posted below. In
This case level refers to club level, county level or college level. So if the player was suspended then he did infact play illegally even if his suspension happened at minor level.
Our hurlers were caught out on a similar offense last year. The penalty is forfeiture of game without award to the opposing team, unless of course Ardboe objected which would then mean Ardboe would be reinstated.

A bit of spare time at work today so I thought I would check out the ruling in the official guide:

Category I
Being ordered off on foot of a second Cautionable
Infraction.
Penalty:
(i) Fixed Penalty: Debarment from playing for
the remainder of the Game, to include any
extra-time;
(ii) Fixed Penalty on Repeat Infraction: 2 weeks
Suspension in the same Code and at the same
Level.

Looks like Dromore are safe enough as suspension is to be served in the same code at the same level (which would be minors).  Story has it that its an Omagh supporting solicitor who tipped off Ardboe, appears as if he will have egg on his face, but its nice to see that Omagh and Ardboe are back on talking terms LOL!

On a more serious note, really looking forward to the 2 big games this weekend, who do we all think will get through?  There wont be much in either game.

General discussion / Re: lyoness
March 16, 2012, 05:32:45 PM
I recently signed up to Lyoness. I only bought 3 units (£45 each). I can see why people are sceptical but I have already saved a good few pound buying stuff that I would have been buying anyway. An example is my washing machine packed in and I got around 6% discount on my new one from Currys.
Also the 3% discount with ASDA is very useful as we would spend at least £100 in there every week anyway.
The downside that I see is that you have to plan your shopping more than usual as you have to buy top up cards or vouchers for each retailer.
I would expect my 3 units to pay me back within 5/6 months as there are already a good few units purchased behind mines.

Did anyone hear that the U16 season is being run off first this year, commencing first week of March?

Why's that, and what'll be the logistics of it?

Yeah it is from what i hear - think it came about from the feed back at the end of year youth meeting. Not a bad scenerio as u16 tended to drift slightly due to summer holidays and then it always conflicted with schools matches in september.

I can see that advantage, but will that mean U14s, Minor and U16s all out at the same time?
As far as I know the u14 league doesn't start till june, ie after u16 finished.
Will prob be clashes between u16/minor if clubs have over lapping players.

General discussion / Re: What Electricity Supplier?

Thinking about changing my electricity supplier from NIE after a doorstep sell from Budget energy.

It states that their unit price is 14p, with NIE (Power NI) at 16.29p. Airticity is 15.1p.

Anyone made the switch? Any thoughts?
I changed to Budget energy about 6 months ago and have no complaints about them. I'd now be putting £20 in every 8 days rather than every 7 with Nie, 50 odd days of electric free per year justifies it for me.

General discussion / Re: Building a house
October 12, 2011, 06:20:47 PM
Looking a bit of advice folks. I'm starting to build a house next week and am currently looking at insulation options.
Should i go for 60mm cavity wall insulation or get the cavity pumped. I have heard mixed views on pumping regarding areas not getting filled and also damp problems due to there being no cavity.
I need around 270m2 of insulation, anyone an idea of how much that should cost in euro, house is in Donegal.
Any help would be appreciated.

Great result for us last nite up in Aughabrack although we made hard work of it. The Clans are a very average team without the 2 county men.
A big talking point after the game was the assault of one of our umpires by 1 of the county men and I'm sure u can all work out which 1 it was. Will probably be ignored but the county chairman was on the pitch side and witnessed the event.

You are saying that either Dooher or O'Neill hit one of your umpires? I cant imagine any of them dong that1
The game was level and our umpire signalled a wide as a clan Na Gael player carried the ball along the end line. According to our players the ball was a foot out.
There was a crowd of clan supporters inside the gate to the side of the goals(at the clubhouse end).
The player in question ran bout 30m to argue over the decision and then assaulted the umpire. This is fact as I seen it happen!
Neither county player was playing.

Think msk has changed freq. Try using freq 11681 and keep the other settings the same.

Services - System setup and add channels.

Freq - 11488
Polar - V
SR    - 27/5
FEC  - 2/3

Find Channels
Highlight MSK & MSK Extra and press Yellow to Strore channels
Then select twice and all should be stored

To find them to watch then again go into Services
Other Channels
Select yer channel

Its not in the main menou as its a FTA channel like BBC3,4 & iTV 2,3 4 which also can all be added if you google the frequencies.

Would agree with the controller issue. Xbox one is way better, much more ergonomical and the placement of analog sticks make shooting and action games alot better, the triggers are also alot better. If your just in it to play games, I'd say go for the xbox as it has better exclusive games.
[/quot

Can any of u recommend best way to watch movies online through your xbox. I have an xbox 360 with wireless Internet but have only used it for online gaming. Have heard about people being able to watch movies online and thought would be handy if could do it through my xbox. I have already searched on google but mainly throws up sites looking me to pay to download software.

Just seen the scores for todays Ulster Championship. Jesus thats an awful hammerring Tyrone got.

Whats the story?

Have been hearing reorts of unrest in the camp and certain players withdrawing from squad but id have thought they would have put up a better fight than this.

I'd say the weather will take out a lot of games this weekend.

The big ACL game of the weekend is off already- Owen Roes v Dregish.
Strabane v Moortown is also a victim of the weather. Hopefully weather picks up for tomorrow for the 125 celebrations.

fear i see James O'Reilly is only doing goals for your reserve team this season! any reason y think he a great keeper. good win vs Eskra the other day for yous. pictures on your website very good.

What about our web site??  >:(

Only kidding... I think youngster Conor McGrath had a few games in pre season, and his kept his spot on form. I have never seen him play but hear he's very good. Must be good, as O'Reilly is a fair keeper too.
Jamesy O Reilly got injured a few weeks back while playing for dergview in the irish league. Young Mc Grath stood in and has kept his place. We are very fortunate to have 2 great keepers in the club at the minute.
Its good for the young boys in club to see that when they take their chance they can make the senior team.
Things going OK this year but we are missing 2/3 central players for the foreseeable future, Mc Bride in Aus and Friel heading away with army soon, plus stewart is suspendeed.
An encouraging aspect from sunday was that the reserves had 30+ players togged out.
