My only point is I'm not in favour of clubs going to other GAA grounds and selling major fundraising tickets there. Just my opinion. I hope Moy club have a successful draw and I'll buy a ticket if the opportunity arises.

I see it as an opportunist move by the Moy club to target venues that will be attended by GAA supporters.

Can neither of you see that there are extenuating circumstances in Moy's case with regards the fact that their clubrooms have been gutted by two arson attacks in around about the last year? Cut them a bit of slack. They are going outside the norms in fundraising for no other reason than their circumstances are outside the norm. They seemingly are getting little/no joy from the cops or insurance, so maybe it's time to cut them some slack?

Moy mustn't be getting any grant as they were begging around the grounds this is still few weeks . Is it not enough paying the admission money without being targeted by these people. I'd like to know are they doing this with county board approval ?

Worth remembering that they have had their clubrooms set alight by arsonists twice in the past year or so and, last I heard, have been getting next to no support from the cops nor joy through insurance. I for one wouldn't begrudge them given their situation. If you do, then you are not obliged to donate.

Gerry Adams was at it today, denying everything.

The media were at it yesterday, blaming Adams for everything.

Straightforward enough for the rahillys in the end.

Some semi final draw too!

Chasing a game throughout and only taking the lead for the first time from a goal on 59 mins is now a "straightforward enough" win?

What sort of halfwits use this board?

Agreed. And as mentioned before, in a game where Greencastle were fighting for a goal coming to the end of normal time, Sludden found fit to call 5 minutes of injury time desite there not being a single significant stoppage in the entire game.

Stew, above post just messing about. (But seriously, we do get it. Enough already.)

Genuine questions though (from someone who is leaning strongly towards Avery being guilty). What are you views on these issues:

1. No blood/blood splatter/DNA found in the bedroom or the garage, the two places where she was apparently killed?
2. No bullets found in the remains after the fire (and only one bullet apparently found, not until after repeated searches) despite prosecution claims that she was shot "multiple" times (and again, no blood splatter anywhere)
3. Why was the blood sample tampered with?

I lived through this trial .... I have known the details of this case for a decade, as does most people from the area,

This brings up some bad memories... probably the close proximity of the thing.

I worked out of seven Retail Stores during all of this in three counties, Manitowoc County, Sheboygan County and Calumet county, I know many, many people in this area as I have spent forty percent of my life in it

OK Stew. You used to live in the area. We get that.

How is it pathetic to expect that unionists might give some small token of recognition to the fact that many Nationalist view the ROI team as theirs? You have three or four Northerners in the squad and a Northern manager. It is typically disingenuous behaviour by Unionist politicians who don't want any vestiges of Irishness about the place.
If the comments over the last page or so are anything to go by, there are no shortage of "nationalists" (presumably nationalist anyway) who aren't all that keen on recognising that fact either.

They mainly ignored them till 1969 though.
And they (the free state) didn't ignore the six counties post-1969? Pull the other one ffs. Unless total disassociation and ambivalence/disdain can be done without first stopping the "ignoring" strategy first.

I will take on Danny Hughes with this team:
Cluxton, Marc O'Se, Moynihan, Keith Higgins, Tomas O'Se, Cian O'Sullivan, Jordan, Dara O'Se, S Cavanagh, Dooher, Cooper, McConville, Canavan, Murphy, B Brogan

Mine would be:
Cluxton. M O Se, Moynihan, K Lacey, T O Se, McGeeney, Jordan, D O Se, Cavanagh, Dooher, Declan o Sullivan, P Flynn, Cooper, Canavan, B Brogan.

Any 'Team of the Last 15 Years' that doesn't have Canavan and Gormely on it, is null and void from the discussion.

Does it go back beyond 2003? :P

In it's defence, as far as football goes, it's basically entirely focused on the club. So yeah, it goes back a few years before that  :P :D

This Teamtalk crowd are an embarrassment to the GAA and the good gaels of Tyrone!

You are embarrassment to the GAA and good gaels, care to clarify this comment at all now?

5. The Ulster council "we'll keep the statement private" approach says plenty without saying anything (IMO!) It says the incident happened but we have no independent proof so want to put it to bed. (Without proof players can't be suspended)

What you on about?
This teamtalk crowd have spun a story to suit a very very biased Tyrone agenda. I would expect this from an idiot on a high stool full of pints but not from a GAA publication. Perhaps on this occasion they are one in the same. I also find Bonners comments irresponsible.
Spun a story? They reported that the Ulster Council investigation concluded that the sledging about a player's father's death didn't happen and this report has proven to be 100% accurate.

For accurately reporting on a GAA story?

Couple of lads saying teamtalk have not been vindicated but haven't explained their logic.

Teamtalk got wind that the ulster council report found that sledging about a player's father's death didn't happen, and that has turned out to be 100% accurate.
