How do you square the fact that since old Genocide Joe came into Power the world has seen two new major conflicts in which he is stuck in the middle of?

Don't get me wrong, I think Trump is a total piece of shit and not fit to hold any office. I just think Biden is also a piece of shit and I take great offence that he tries to draw a link to Ireland as if he is some part of us.

Quote from: J70 on Today at 02:10:15 PMIt's degree lads. The Republicans want to give carte blanche to Israel. They're going mad at Biden for even pausing the shipments of 2000 lb bombs, with the House officially "rebuking" him recently. They're on tv arguing that the Gazan civilians are fair game because they elected and support Hamas. You think it's bad for the Palestinians now? Just wait till Trump wins and the GOP take back the Senate this autumn.

I know of Republicans who wouldn't care if every single resident of Gaza was killed

Their logic is that the Palestinians voted in Hamas, so they now need to live with the consequences

You don't think their are democrats that think that too?

Quote from: Rossfan on Today at 10:30:57 AMTheir choice is him or Biden who also criticised the Court for daring to go after Netanyahu.

I was being sarcastic, Trump didnt say that it was Biden. But if you werent told would you know the difference?

Quote from: Itchy on Today at 09:38:21 AMGenocide Joe now calling an international court "Outrageous". If Donald Trump said that we would all be aghast. Its clear there is zero difference between Biden and Trump, 2 cheeks on the same arse. He is right though, there is no equivalence between Hamas and Israel. One is an invader, armed to the teeth with the highest tech weapons imaginable holding millions of people in an open air prison and committing Genocide. The other is a resistance movement firing the equivalent of bows and arrows at their more powerful occupier. Definitely no equivalence.

Western standards laid bare for all to see:

When he received threats not to go after Israel,
@KarimKhanQC
reveals "a senior leader" told him the ICC "is built for Africa and for thugs like Putin", and not for the West and its allies.

He should be careful or he might end up in a helicopter or car crash.

Did you all hear that Donald Trump called the International Criminal Court prosecutor as "Outrageous". The Charges against Israel could be "causing extermination, causing starvation as a method of war, including the denial of humanitarian relief supplies, deliberately targeting civilians in conflict" according to the chief prosecutor.

Another shocking attack by Trump on law and order. This man cannot be allowed be president of America, the land of the free.

Quote from: cavanmaniac on May 19, 2024, 01:44:05 PMIt was always going to come down to the game with Roscommon, for Cavan, and that hasn't and won't change, but the hope was we'd arrive there without too many scars and some confidence remaining. Who knows now what to expect from them on any given day? We're hideously inconsistent, often within games never mind from one to another, very mentally fragile and too content with moral victories, as shown by leaving a win behind us versus Tyrone. Any small degree of momentum from that is now in shreds. Mayo might not turn out to even be all that good, that's the scary thing, with Dublin waiting to annihilate us in second gear at Breffni - a game supporters will now understandably stay away from in droves? You try not to lapse into too much negativity and I know we've a new manager etc. but with all the gurus and back room geniuses we have, how in the hell did Cavan go out and turn in a dreadful display like that?

Cavan do not have scoring forwards. They had one in Paddy Lynch and he is gone now. The rest remaining are Div3 standard forwards. We then try to set up to run hard from deep but in the case of Mayo and get scrores from midfield and half back, that is where Mayos strengths also lie so we were never going to out run them in that department. I was expecting to be well beaten. Most disappointing for me was the poor show on our own kick outs, even with the wind. That was unforgivable.

Cavan can put it up to a lot of teams but Mayo, Dublin, Kerry - big physical athletic teams, we will not compete with them. Most worrying for us is the total lack of quality coming through at underage (if you go by our results). One win for our U20s this year v Antrim (who were dire) and 2 wins for our Minors against Antrim and Fermanagh. When the Cillian Clarkes, Padraig Faulkners, Gerry Smiths hand up their boots we will be back slumming it in Div 3.

Aaron Connolly let go by Hull. What is the story with that lad.

Quote from: Ghost on May 19, 2024, 12:46:34 AMFury's best days are behind him. Don't think he has it in him to win a rematch.

If he gets 3 judges like the middle one he might. That was scandalous that it was a split decision.

Cavan way way off the standard at this level unfortunately. That was no more than a challenge game for Mayo

Quote from: tonto1888 on May 16, 2024, 07:27:37 AMnever in doubt...........

Not sure about that, season wise anyway.

I think Celtic made that title a lot harder than it should hsve been.  7 or 8 pts up at a stage and they let that slip instead of driving it home.  That Rangers team is a poor outfit in my opinion.  They'll have a massive clear out this summer.

About Scales, he's very average. Against better opposition, he's not great. He's a grafter and has improved.  CCV's form has dipped, whether that's through injury or whatever.

The key thing for the board now is to invest - buy 4 or 5 quality players e.g. keeper, centre-back and left back etc. Spend decent money on them and get quality in.

In the Champion's League again with that money guaranteed plus good chance O'Riley will go for big money in the summer. If J. Fringpong moves on, Celtic are due a big cut of that transfer fee.  All said, Celtic should have £100m in the bank.

Up to the muppets in the board now to invest wisely for the next 3 years and build a platform. Buying 'project players' like O'Riley is all well and good...if it works but they've bought too many 'project players' who are sitting in the reserves on decent wages.  On that, it's time to clear the duds out and tidy up the wage bill.  Move them on.  Quality over quantity.

Surely they should be doing their transfer business now - a good scout should have their homework done on target positions via video anlysis and profiles etc. Get the players in as early as possible.

Scottish Cup is the next thing up. Need to win that also.

Conceded 28 goals all season in the league so in scottish football their defense is fine. Their issue in Scotland this year was a lack of creativity in the middle of the season and struggling to break down stubborn defenses. In Europe, their problem is also midfield just not good enough players technically and I include McGregor in that. Can they get players at that level to come to Celtic, thats doubtful. They do need a left back for sure. O Riley will leave a big hole behind if he is sold too.

5 - 0, big win as Celtic cruise to the title in the end.
