To paraphase Eamon Morrissey in the classic Fr. Ted episode (well, aren't they all classics) Speed 3

Is there nothing to be said for having another look at Luke Dempsey?

I think Meath people perhaps should form an anarcho-syndicalist commune to manage the Seniors. They could take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs, but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major affairs, and by Liam Hayes when it is necessary to piss people off.

Simple.

We had one of them before Boylan took over. I think there were 27 selectors on the line for one game.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Feck off you.

But I like your other suggestion. Alternatively, I was thinking of going up myself and just taking over. A few bricks through co. board officers' windows with messages tied to them. "You don't want to get hurt, do you?" Then send a few of the brothers and cousins to round up the squad in a cattle truck with a few dung forks for prodding.

When they get out of the truck in the Vincents' field, I'll be walking up and down with my hand under my chin. For a good while. Then I'll just say "you're probably wondering why you've been brought here" and we'll take it from there.

Power is not something you are given. It's something you take.

I'm good, but I'm not that good.

What's the problem with Mattie anyway, ML?

Indeed, look at the miraculous job he did with Carlow, not to mention his deadly incisive analysis of how well a team will do at any given time, i.e., Kerry 2007 and Kerry 2008  ;)
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

I was thinking that we'd all regret it more if he didn't get the job and we had to continue to be subjected to his column every Sunday

I wouldn't have thought it was anywhere near that figure tbh - could be wrong though..

Sadly Meath are really attracting the dregs with Dempsey, Carr and Hayes

It's actually more interesting to look at who doesn't want it or who won't apply for it rather than who is
