Chinese man busted.

A law-breaking motorist had some explaining to do after his failure to wear a seatbelt landed him in trouble with the police – and his wife.

The Volvo driver and his female passenger were pulled over by police for the minor motoring violation when events took a surprising turn, chinaSMACK reports.

Licence points were the least of the man's worries, however, after he was forced to call his wife so she could bring him his driving documents.

Quickly waving his lover away and promising to call her later, he is then confronted his partner who demands to know why he has left work so early.

She also wants to know who was with him in the car, with the sheepish suspect replying it was a male co-worker.

Recorded as part of a Chinese television show promoting driving safety, the man's plea for the clip not be broadcast is promptly rejected by the amused policeman.

The clip has racked up more than two million hits online in just a matter of days.
