Quote from: Aaron Boone on June 09, 2026, 12:34:58 AMIt's not a standard request by counties, but with the remoteness of Inniskeen, McGeeney thought he was within rights to get the training session.
Sounds like arseboxing to me.

Quote from: mackers on June 08, 2026, 08:48:19 PMSee a request from Armagh to train on the Inniskeen pitch has been refused. Any word on who refused permission?

When was the last time Armagh let a team they were playing at at home train on the Athletic Grounds pitch days before the game?

McGeaney working the playbook of cute hoorism.
I wouldn't be making as big a deal of it as Gavin Devlin seems to be. The reason I asked the question was that I wouldn't have thought it was Louth's place to refuse permission as it's not their ground (as compared to your analogy of Armagh refusing permission for a team to train in the AG) but it looks as if that's the way it has worked out.
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

theres a carpark at the pitch itself but nightmare to get out of and only holds so many so you'd need to be there early. last few times we were there we just parked on the road on the way to the pitch. bit of a wait to get out but the further back you park the easier it is!

See Eoin Duffy named on the Armagh panel, fair play to him, only leaving St Colman's this summer and another year at U20 to come.

I went down last night to Inniskeen and got the grounds man to cut the grass twice inside and outside the ground. So Louth can forget any ideas of hiding in the long grass.

I hear they narrowed the pitch into the width of the goals, won't be much room for hiding anyone ;)

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Never mind the cockiness to not even bother to name any subs.

Much be super confident to feel they can beat Armagh with only 15 players named.

Could you remind him to mark up the 65's while you were at it?

He didn't bother his arse to do it for a NHL Div2 final last year.

And they seem to have transferred the McArdle lad in the corner from another team, Armagh will be well up for this one.

Armagh have already taken care of cocky Monaghan so should use that experience with Louth now in their small Monaghan "home" venue.
