Never sure with GAA stuff but I think I read it somewhere.

Anyhow our game v Cark is a practice run for our young lads and hopefully they'll make things competitive.

 It's year 1 of Andy's plan. So semi final would be a bonus.

The punishment shouldn't be players risking injury due to fatigue.
I am sure the GPA will be able to produce a study to suit whatever narrative they want to push on the latest structure and scheduling.

I don't see what might have been, Kerry dismantled Armagh at the weekend. Will do the same to Tyrone next and don't see any of the rest doing any better.

I wonder do many gaa players contact the GPA during the year regarding issues/problems etc.?

It would be interesting to see. I'm of the opinion that it might be higher than people think.

They do actually do some good stuff round player welfare etc despite getting some bad press.

Given that players from junior club teams innately pivot towards Omertà, I seriously doubt county players would ever risk speaking to a trade union during a season.


And even if they did, what would be the nature of these complaints?

The reason I asked abouyt the semi finals was the comment the RTE man made to The President saying that this draw would be his last draw as president.

So that suggested the semi-final pairings had been preset.

Ah yeah we probably would have ran into trouble against Kerry down the line anyway, but a quarter/semi final was very achievable.

I'd expect Tyrone to be a lot closer to Kerry than we were, the template is there for competing with them. Hopefully it's at least a contest.

They do surely. They also spout a load of complete waffle. For example, demanding to be at the heart of integration discussions.

Was thinking more about issues like gambling etc. More private issues. 

I know the GPA probably survey players about certain issues during the year.

As ImTommyGunn said, the GPA do get a bad press but they do some good work. I think inter-county players need a 'union'.
