What a performance from Westmeath. Their fitness was amazing and they could have blown it a few times but got going again.

Hats off to Westmeath they could have won that in normal time and looked very comfortable in extra time.

Dublin had little of the intensity that they showed against Louth. They never lifted their game when the occasion required it. Not that I'm worried for them but the trajectory of them at all levels doesn't bode well for their future.

I said that Westmeath wouldn't win without Luke but they've shown that there's a lot more to them than myself and others have given them credit for.

Today was Dublin's first Leinster final defeat since 2001.  20 Leinster finals they have won since then.

When Dublin went 5 pts up early in the second half I thought it was all over, another cricket score. But Westmeath kep their composure, worked their way back into the game and were desreved winners
