Shocking .

2 bad teams

We'll take it into Croker, wouldn't be favourites again next day out
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Bad and badder.

Semi-Finals are subject to the avoidance of repeat pairings from either the provincial championships or the group stages where possible, a draw is not required on Monday morning.

This is due to Antrim having played both Down in the Ulster Championship and Sligo in the Tailteann Cup group stages and no other possible repeat pairings.

Below are the Tailteann Cup Semi-Finals pairings

•     Down v Sligo

•     Antrim v Winners of Kildare/Laois

CCCC will confirm all fixture details on Monday.
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

Cheers fermgael. At least we will play someone different. Expecting Kildare in that one. We're in borderline bonus territory so nothing to lose.

Would need Kildare's form from the league to get us over the line

The standalone day next Sunday to promote Tailtean Cup may not happen now. Wexford have a feile and and are asking the hurling double header to be moved to the Sunday. If this happens, the Tailtean double header gets moved to the Saturday along with the Sam maguire matches.

The GAA will demote the Tailteann semi finals, like they did last summer when they put the Mayo Galway game on at same time as the semis. Their so called promotion of this competition is a joke. As is RTEs, the Saturday game gave less than 5 minutes in total to 3 games and chat after . They didn't even discuss the Down v Wicklow game. Sound bites with music playing in the background. No analysis nothing. But that's rte and the gaa for you. They reap what they sow.

Cavanagh was actually  decent last night.  As for Flynn,  I've no idea. I just  seem to zone out anytime he  speaks.

Was there not 75 spectators at a TC match in Laois a few weeks ago, is it deserving of a higher profile ?

bannside

Stand full last night in Brewster Pk.

Rossfan

Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

The standalone fixture is a must on the Sunday for some sort of promotion and coverage of the competition.

And like the hurling tiers, moving  this will be the first step.
Next rte will say they won't cover it as it does not get the viewers .
Move it to YouTube .

Just part of the plan

The season is too condensed to give the tailteann cup proper coverage and promotion. The tailteann cup quarter finals and semi finals need to be on a weekend when there is no Sam Maguire football, at the minute tailteann coverage is being swallowed up the coverage given to the Sam Maguire teams.
