Bizarre stuff.

No attempt to explain why the merger is happening. A brief explanation as to why the GAA slowed this down and then the minister getting a bollicking for a GAA decision. The casual viewer will end up much more confused after watching that mess.

An amalgamation only benefits Camogie and LGFA.

Simple fact is there were more people at the Armagh vs down ulster semi final than there was at this years ladies all ireland final.

Lots of complaining about equality etc. Simple fact is not even alot of womem support womens teams.

It's not that simple in the slightest. There are countless studies to show investment in and promotion of girls' and women's sport pays off. Payback period might not be as short as people want but a unified association is a stronger commercial animal.

Of course the GAA is the big fish in with the minnows here and of course the legacy men's GAA would subsidise the legacy LGFA and Camogie side of things. Everyone knows this, it's not news.

There are absolutely many important things to iron out but individual loss of position at club, county, provincial and association level cannot be ignored. Some dedicated and hard working volunteers, in all three organisations (along with their perks) will have to accept that there is no longer room for them.

Yes but there are an awful lot of county secretaries (as an example), and in all three associations) who would have no interest in losing their role simply because someone else is getting it.
