I'm sure is plenty Israeli embassies and other gatherings of Isrealis around the world. I don't think Netenyahu is too worried bout protecting innocent Israelis if it furthers his objectives and propaganda machine...

He claimed that explosives had been placed in the beepers (obviously ahead of time) at the point of sale.

I read a book about Hamas-written by the son of the founder. He said that Hamas and Hezbollah are riddled with informers and double agents at the most senior levels.

Israel wants to get the US involved.

They know this wont happen unless Israel is attacked so they are trying their hardest to get someone to retaliate.

If there is a large scale retaliation for this then we wont be far away from WW3 unfortunately

It doesn't seem to have been much of a success. A lot of innocent civilians have been injured. And 60,000 Israelis from  the north of Israel within missile reach of the border are still marooned in hotels.
