TF Correct?

"Equally importantlt he hopefully will be the answer to all Spurs fans prayers and an answer to a lot of our defensive problems."

Gareth Bale 2013 is a completely different animal than the one Tony thought Spurs were buying.
That's what usually happens when very talented young players manage to develop their game with a good club.

Maybe so, but Tony thought Spurs were buying a great left back to shore up the defence. I don't think anyone envisaged this particular 'development'.

STREET FIGHTER

Who would have thought he'd turn into a serial diver/cheat?

Great talent though apart from that.

The general opinion about Bale in 2007, envisioned a bright future for a young talented footballer. True enough, not many have crystal balls to envision the exact details. :)
There is no doubt that those (Redknap?) who worked with Bale were aware of the extent of the potential, even at a troubled time when some pundits were calling for him to be dropped. I think we can more than safely say that Bale developed with the right club for him. It's a proven fact.

I should come as no surprise, there is plenty of precedent, Thierry Henry is probably the best example, probably the best job Wegner did on any player in his life.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

Bale has developed much greater than anyone could have envisioned, but Spurs and their renowned footballing ethos provided him with the perfect platform.

Bale for sale? http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2013/03/14/3823169/-

I wouldn't put much faith in goal.com but I would say that Spurs have done a fine job in developing him.  He will leave though, maybe this summer, and he will go the same way as Modric.  CR will leave in the next 2 seasons and Bale will replace him.  SPurs will be seen as a selling club and a good place to develop players.

I see that according to Marca Real Madrid have agreed a 6 year deal with Bale.  Spuds may have a big wad of cash from it but with no CL and half their ability gone it could be very hard for them to attract quality.  It also could be great for Liverpool as Madrid may not stump up more for Saurez then.

Could it also not work in Arsenals favour? Will Liverpool be forced into accepting 40 million from Arsenal?

Liverpool won't be forced into accepting anything from anybody.  They don't have to or want to sell.  They will only sell if the fee is the required one.

Easier said than done though. How many times have we seen players spit the dummy out and refuse to play, thus forcing the club to sell.

Suarez is more likely to keep biting it rather than spit it out.
