Agree with your thoughts, RIP Benny.
I thought he scored a great point in the Minor Semi Final in 1991 but he isn't listed in the scorers. Played his part in one of the goals. @1:30 Derry Kilkenny

My views are of their refereeing ability/behaviours. I don't know either on a personal capacity.

Sorry we are here on a forum discussing all things Derry GAA surely referees are a major part of that?
Players are discussed, management systems and faults, discipline of individuals and clubs. Fitness levels of players.people ability to play or not to play county football.

The standard of refereeing and give respect get respect initiative surely all overlap into this conversation.
How people behave inside the fence or the white lines generally isn't a reflection of their personality outside the competitive environment.

The thing about discussion forums is sometimes you might not agree or like the discussion.
The don't hurt my feelings brigade will soon take over.

Weekend Predictions

SFC
Magherafelt v Slaughtneil   M'Felt -3 Expect a game similar to the first day, nothing between them until last 10 or so but expect M'Felt to pull away

Glen v Newbridge   N'Bridge -1  Find this one hard to call, expect a reaction from the bridge & they tend to win these tight games

IFC
Greenlough v Eoghan Rua   ER -3
Desertmartin v Craigbane   Craigbane -2

JFC
Doire Trasna v Ballerin   Trasna -1

Weekend Predictions

SFC
Magherafelt v Slaughtneil
Magherafelt by 2 AET

Glen v Newbridge
Glen, despite the squad littered with very poor players who somehow managed to win Ulster and AI clubs and get past Kilrea, I think they will shade this one by 3 points. Should be some tussle

IFC
Greenlough v Eoghan Rua
Eoghan Rua by 5

Desertmartin v Craigbane
Desertmartin by 7

JFC
Doire Trasna v Ballerin
Ballerin by 3 AET

GTP

Magherafelt v Slaughtneil
Magherafelt by 6. Rossa find their shooting boots and keep S'Neil at a distance
Glen v Newbridge
Glen, Newbridge haven't convinced me, will still be tight but just fall the other way. Neither team to end with 15 on the field.
IFC
Greenlough v Eoghan Rua
South Derry trumps North Derry
Desertmartin v Craigbane
South Derry trumps North Derry
JFC
Doire Trasna v Ballerin
50 years after winning Ulster Ballerin will rise again.
