Thought Mc Kaigues interview was top class, a real straight talker.

He's fully aware of his on personality traits that some people maybe aren't fussy on but are exactly why he's one of Derry best ever players.

I've a feeling he could be a tough manager to play under in his first few years, he'll be perfect for a team who are close to the top somewhere, others might struggle with commitment expectations.

Totally agree with what he said about coaching youth players, the old slogan of kids are different now. Top level youth players aren't different, if anything I think more committed.

He is not one of Derry's best ever players. Not even close...

Unless you're picking a ridiculously small pool of players he absolutely is

Assume the Derry socials are run by that Limavady lad? Bit of self promotion

At least a welcome change from them spending time liking all the stuff from the 6 counties teams.

Seen the other day the graphic advertising all the intermeidate games had the wrong crests for every single club, you'd like to think a Limavady man would know his own club crest although wouldn't be surprised

Noticed this. Also have posted at least two FT scores in the championship the wrong way around. A bit of a shambles.

The social media is a shambles from start to finish. The games had incorrect venues listed for this weekend also, had to delete the post and put a new one up.

Jesus lads. Bit harsh no? Few mistakes but good bit better than the radio silence during the leagues

I personally think the opposite. I find it embarrassing to be so poor in 2026.

I could have been harsher

i see a couple of young lads on X have been reviewing the referee performance from Bellaghy's win on Sunday

GTP

I watched Bellaghy, Dungiven on TV, I can't say I noticed anything particularly wrong in the refs performance. Judgement call on the 2 point free I saw queried, which I didnt think was clearly wrong and we don't know what free he is giving or where he believes the first offence took place.

Would most counties not have four or five lads/lassies working on their socials? Sharing the workload.

I know clubs have 2/3 on their socials.

It'd be hard for one person to do it, especially at county level.

on the 2 pointer, the footage shows the contact starting and ending inside the arc. cassidy does move outside the arc briefly but calling that part of the contact a foul would be very generous.

the other two clips are on brown's fall and roll given as a free (commentators did highlight this) then a very obvious black card for a rugby style hand trip missed by bellaghy's number 5. mcgeehan is literally 5 meters away.
