No way Peter keane be driving from Kerry, its too long a spin. What is Paddy Tally set up in Kerry. Does he just live down there during the county season?

He was just confirmed for next season as part of the Kerry panel. Not that he can't leave.

Is it just as a Derry man I notice it more when players go to Oz or are we actually more disadvantaged than the rest of the country, going back to chrissy mckaigue, Glass, Callum Brown, Tohill, McAtamney to the Yank football, now young McEvoy who will probably be followed by James sergeant as he more than fits the bill for an Ozzie footballer

Did youins boys get a manager yet????  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Can anybody tell me what is the story with St Marys Ardmore; conceding games in Junior championship and getting beat by 40 points.

Surely they cant be that bad if they have won 3 Junior Titles since 2000.

Sad to see. Numbers issues is it?

Although their last was 11 years ago, what they have done in that last 24 years has no corelation with where they are now.  For example they won a Junior in 2000, they beat Coleraine in the final who have since won 2 x Senior championships. Ogra Colmcille won the Junior in 2001 and have since folded (although they are back up & running and play in the recreational league)

Ardmore had a golden generation during the time of winning the championships, and didn't have much coming through. Seem to have big numbers are underage. Drum the same, all hit mid 30s at the same time.
Ardmore are doing well to field as often as they do tbh, miss very few league games the last 8/10 years, so credit to them

Brendan

Drum are probably lucky the bulk of their current senior team are barely out of minor with a few good players coming out of the St Pats set ip for them so they should be fine in a few years time again, Ardmore though hard to see any positives

ARDMOREMAN

Ardmore have got their act together at underage, with over 120 children training from nursery to U-16.
Also, a lot of parents from non-gaelic backgrounds are now getting involved in the running of the club.
We have a strong committee in place who are improving all areas of the club.
The senior team is not in a great position, due to lack of numbers, ageing squad and some of the younger players not having played much underage football (lack of experience).
We only have one small primary school in our parish, and some locals take their kids to schools in the Waterside and they play with neighbouring clubs.
I'd say we will suffer for another year or two, but hopefully we will be competitive in the not too distant future.

Did I hear that enda Lynn is playing for portglenone now? What's the story there?

Brendan

Is the Brendan Rogers podcast worth a listen? The one last year with the GAA social was really interesting but 2 and a half hours is a big commitment for myself who rarely gets down time to enjoy things like these
