Because they'd rather acknowledge soccer clubs

Rumour flying around Ryan Scullion and Martin Bradley both left squad to go play for Screen, big pressure from the club to try and keep them in Div 1?

Personally think a good few of extended squad who haven't seen any game time yet should have been released to clubs this weekend.

Glenullin up 8 on Glen with about 10 mins to go, McFaul sent off but Glen come back to beat Glenullin by 1. Alex Doherty with maybe 1-6 from play but smallish around the middle without Emmett and Jack.

Anybody know if Odhran Lynch was playing today?

Over at Kilrea v Faughanvale the Derry, open enough, Kilrea goals sorta made the different with their full forward line the beating of their men. Michael Sweeney more than good enough for the county panel. Jordan Curran wasnt playing.

The screen holding up Div 1 past 4 yrs and scraping through most times, had we went to a 12 team div 1 they been long gone. They no excuse, the size of the place.

Have some amount of players at underage level. And strange thing is that they're always top level.

Then, for some reason' they seem to fall away. Maybe it's the case of too many players an a lot drop off earlier than normal.

Both playing today for Screen and along with Carlus McWilliams they were the 3 most influential players on the pitch. Bradley gave a masterclass in full back play and Scud scored maybe 5/6 points including a monster 2 pointer free and a couple of quality 45's.

went to thet game and my opinion was it was clear why both teams are were they are in the league.
Even game and really open but a serious lack of quality on the pitch, granted both team missing a few, but in a serious relegation battle.

For years they're underage teams have had big numbers, 40+ at some ages.  winning everything at u14 then slightly less at u16 and I don't remember them winning minor championship for years. Its really strange one. Massive pick and massive catchment area.

Same teams doing the business but the most improved at this stage and definitely on really upward trend is Loup.

Maxi Curran has made some difference there, Glenullin having good year having just came up.

Newbridge have been very impressive in 2 times I seen them, Dungiven doing ok but wish they would kick the ball more, like a team playing with handbrake on.

man, Loup, Glenullin & Dungiven have no county players, full compliment. They would need to winning games.

Whats the reason for Limavady, Kilrea, Faughanvale, Steelstown, Swatragh? Do you think bringing back that one County man and  changes everything?

Do you reckon if Scullion and Bradley had of been with Screen all year they would be away up the table?

Brendan

I see Screen and Kilrea play in a couple of weeks time, big match there to decide who is in the relegation spots along with Vale

You might want to look at the league table. Steelstown are in the top half, ahead of the previously mentioned Dungiven at the moment, with a county player to return.
