Ros could kill 2 birds by togging out in swimming gear and anti gouge goggles, playing in HP and declaring the mode of play to be water polo. If Indiana agrees it should be grond.

Indiana has 5 All-Irelands, €6 and 7 O'limpiks medals at water polo.

It wont be in Roscommon, rain all week especially near weekend. Longford is out, Carrick too small, Tuam not suitable really as you need big seating capacity. Portlaoise is out, Mullingar is out, which leaves Tullamore, or maybe Croke Pk. No matter it has to be played and lovely venue it might be but Dr Hyde Pk is not playable.
There is no need to go running about like a headless chicken trying to find pitch anywhere when the best pitch in the province can be had for the asking. Mayo, magnanimous as always, would be glad to help heir neighbours in their hour of need. Castlebar is only 30 miles or so from Roscommon and would be well capable of holding whatever number turns up.
Are ye lot home or away next Sunday?
All the last round games start at the same time.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

At home in Castlebar for the next three games with London excluded , v Down, v Galway and then your lot come to town for a day out.
Walk-in down mchale rd , sun out, summers day , game day . That's all .

It can't be in Mayo. Mayo are hosting Down in Castlebar and all the last round games have to start at the same time.

We could play across the pitch and play both games at the same time in Castlebar.

That might actually work, if Donegal were one of the 4 counties involved.  ::)

It's hard to imagine any dainty Dublin boot setting itself down in that muck. Funny how Hound or Indy haven't weighed in yet. They must be in O'Connell Street, marching. Hopefully they'll post once they get back.

Indy's out in Syria for the weekend to end the war.

Main Street

It's bleedin' obvious, play it in Croke Park,
Surely every Ross player would sell their turf allotment in order to play a game on the hallowed ground and take in the wonderful atmosphere emanating from Hill 16.

Zulu

As both teams will be in division 1 next year would it not make sense to play it in Croke Park and have next year's game in Roscommon?

Rossfan

What's with all the Croke Park stuff?
Even the usually sensible Zulu at it now ???
Enough money spent already going to Kerry, Cork and Donegal without havingto go to rip off Dublin twice in successive weeks.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

I would agree, should have considered the same thing with Mayo.

Ye lost in Hyde Park yesterday and Kiltoom the first day. Ye must like travelling in the bus as all 8 points have been collected outside Roscommon's borders!
