Not sure tyrones midfield have ever been lauded.

You want to check back to the end of last season.

Our best midfielder wasn't playing in the first half.

Nor the second by that showing. Did he even touch the ball?

tyrone08

There is too much talent in this tyrone team to be playing like this. If we dont get an ulster title or an ai semi final i would say its a failure.

Obviously its early days but Malachy needs to massively step it up.

Hand of God

Endemic of the Malachy era. As was mentioned by a few on here pre game there just doesn't seem to be apparent style of play. It seemed to rely on getting to ball to Canavan or McElhom in the second half to do anything.

There's a lot of talent in the squad and we should be getting far more out of the team right now.

Joey Clarke and Jordan had fantastic debuts. Cassidy showed up well. Donaghy and Conroy really poor.

Morgan had a horror show out there. McKernan and Donaghy were miles off it too.

DaleCooper

A complete mess. Again, Tyrone at home now means nothing. Derry will be tough nut to crack. Dont rule out Div 3 ball  ;D

And too many bad one's. Daly ????

Few positives. Thought Oguz, Jordan, Joey Clarke and Cassidy played well. Gametime into Canavan too. Halfback line still far too open. As always we took our foot off the gas for some reason. Must have been Morgans worst game for Tyrone. There's a few there I don't think are up to county standard.

An Watcher

Similar last year but then we go to Ballybofey and win, beat the dubs at croker albeit not a patch on previous teams.  Two results which would have been unthinkable with the previous management.  Early days of the season

Aaron Boone

It's as if there's too big a pool of county players in Tyrone. Malachy can't get his head around it and we can't gel.

My thoughts

Ethan Jordan should start every game

Mattie Donnelly shouldn't, if any other number 14 had that performance there'd be calls for them not to play another game

Morgan better off staying on the line
Adding nothing from play out the field

DaleCooper

Early days to be writing them off obv but it is frustrating. Kildare could easily have nipped the win. Hopefully will focus minds

giveherlong

Kildare no household names but they were very efficient. In good physical shape snd made very few mistakes.
Although Tyrone need to be beating them at home every time

giveherlong

Has Malachy adapted his style of play to the new rules? I think we are still too conservative.
We have the personnel to absolutely devastate the likes of Kildare at home.
Poor first half but then we got into a position of 4(?) up and a man up. Should have been no way back then

Hand of God

We were missing the following tonight:

Teague
Hampsey
Devlin
McGeary
O'Donnell
Ruairi Canavan
McCurry

With Canavan, Kennedy and McElholm off the bench.

It's a fair base to our spine there tbf. There is also the complacency that maybe relates to playing on Div 2. I thought McKernan for instance tonight played nowhere near his normal levels. Seemed to unusually casual. Think it's a good while since we were last in Div 2.

On the basis of tonight is probably be looking at a team this summer when all are fit:

Morgan

J Clarke
Hampsey
Devlin

McKernan
Teague
McGeary

Kennedy
Kilpatrick

Oguz
McElholm
AN OTHER

Jordan
Darragh
McCurry

The half forward line is without doubt the biggest worry.

Daly and Donaghy offered nothing tonight. SOD blows hot and cold.

Malachy all talk and emotion no tactics no plan.

After 21 years of tactics we are back to 1985. Clueless and crap backroom with the best underage players in Ireland and can't beat Kildare with 14 losing one of their best for half the match. Shambolic  farce.
