In my humble opinion, I think after seeing that it's the biddies to lose. Ooz class and will win the whole thing outright and hopefully get by the first round in the Ulster championship

PólAointroim

Superb display from St Brides, cool, calm, collected and professional from the outset. Dunloy had no answer.
Very well set up, credit to the management. Favourites for their maiden championship win now surely.

Torcrua

Massive win for St Brigid's and a real breakthrough victory for them.

As impressive as they were, Dunloy were shocking. They looked completely out of ideas and, more worryingly, out of legs. Maybe burning the candle at both ends is finally catching up with them? They'll certainly be glad they have a free ticket into the hurling final.

For me, Dunloy have gone away from a lot of what made them such a dangerous football team of individual brilliance, breaking at pace and really going after teams high up the pitch. In the modern game you simply can't afford to sit in and stand off teams the way they did last night. It became far too easy and repetitive for St Brigid's.

Cargin will be licking their lips. I expect them to take care of business today and again in two weeks' time.

On another note, I have to say I really enjoy Dunsilly as a venue. Walked across the pitch after the game last night and it was like a carpet. Some surface.

Have St. Brigid's many lads playing from other counties now?

Have the Downey brothers moved on and miss out on the big day out?

Good achievement for CM in his first year.

2 have moved back
Still 3 there, not sure how involved they are, starting/bench/injured/not in squad....

Edit
Just saw team sheet in Saffron gael and there was 2 starting

The three Downeys playing with St Brigids, grandfather on their mothers side was a founding member of St Brigids. They have a very strong family link to the club, explains why they stayed when the cousins returned to Lavey

Founding member my hole. He had more clubs than Tiger Woods. They'd fall out with their own shadows...

Quote from: Silver Eel on October 01, 2026, 11:10:54 AMWhich Rossa is going to turn up, the side that beat Portglenone in the quarters or the one who got beat by 20 points by Dunloy in the round robin?

Well, that question was fairly answered!!

Sportacus

Great to see two new teams in the final. Serious amount of arrogance in here, people looking down on clubs like St Brigid's and Portglenone as if any of us were world beaters. Humble pie time for quite a few posters.

Gaelfast will be getting some pats on the back now

An entertaining game as much for the manner of Rossa's comeback.

good to see ref blowing the messy pulling and dragging that are designed to stop teams playing football. He did that early and a game broke out rather than have 2 teams sniping at each other for 60 mins.
