Wont be giving Alliance any more votes after that.

Sources close to the District tell me after several meetings this morning, they are confident the parade will get down the road this afternoon.
The approaches to lines here have reduced since the last parade was stopped.
Crowds have grown again significantly on the Garvaghy Road.
PSNI Superintendent Brendan Green assured the District that he has the resources to keep them safe here at the church.
In the past hour videos have circulated showing PSNI vehicles heading in large numbers towards Portadown.
Police have made several assessments on the situation, but the standoff continues.

No way it happens without cops getting heavy handed. Let's see where we go if that happens but it won't be good.

There is no good outcome to this. Pandora's box is open and can never be closed.

Also alliance will not be getting a vote from me anyway.sdlp should be all over that comment.

Walter Cronc

Do they honestly believe they are getting down tonight?

I assume the residents are still concerned/ dont trust the PSNI if numbers are swelling?

square_ball

I think the PSNI will try something here. You don't send that many meat wagons down the road if there's nothing of that nature in the offing.

Worrying. The residents trying to get back into court it seems as well.

I cannot see any scenario in which the PSNI decide the best course of action is to forcibly remove protestors from the road. Nor will they try anything sneaky. The Brits do not want Stormomt to fall. Bryant will be doing everything to avoid disorder.

But will it be decided for them, a la Mo Mowlam?

If there are anywhere near the numbers on the road as there were yesterday, the police are never clearing it.

The video circulating online has about 20 of those armoured vehicles on the motorway >:(

The legal profession representing both parties laughing all the way to the bank, all proceedings no doubt being funded by the legal aid gravy train.

Stormont is toast and Bryant isn't a boy who has covered himself in glory. Seems like another person they want out of the way so make sos.

You kind of forget that it used to happen all the time. They go in hard and get it cleared in a few minutes the crowd quickly disperses to the side. I just wouldn't have thought there would be much appetite for today's recruits to do it

Duine Inteacht Eile

You don't have the RUC and the army anymore. The PSNI would be there forever.

Looks like it could happen. They might need to get the nationalist politicians back down there as it certainly not a good look to have the first minister or Gerry carrol or Clare Hannah being bundled out of the way by a cop in riot gear
