Great fact about marching, they didn't start to a 105yrs after the battle. So they hardly doing it from 1690.

The final round of the Open in Portrush on Sunday starting half an hour or so earlier so as to not clash with a band parade in the town in the evening.

They seriously need to catch themselves on, knuckle draggers from a bygone era. The area has the chance again to promote itself to the world, don't need this as people are leaving the course.

Could they just not have turned down the request/plan for the  march?  I'm assuming there's some sort of  paperwork involved?

jesus, the area is going to rake  it in over the coming days , and they want it wrapped up  early to have a parade.

Is it an attempt to show the golfing foreigners  a bit of  unionist kulture before  they go home?

From what i've heard the organisers of the parade were offered a very sizeable sum of money to change date of their parade (I assume from Royal Portrush) and they turned it down.

Had the "pleasure" of driving through Moygashel last week - UVF flags galore.
I saw in the news one night there some new development in Derry has had flags put up by a gang of masked men and a load of graffiti saying things like "flags stay" and "loyalist area". Its a mixed development is my understanding.

Would love someone to report this to the anti terror police and see what they say...

I heard this but also heard they were offered money the last time and didn't receive it or something along those lines. Surely the Parades Commission could have used a bit of common sense and restricted the parade from taking place until after the golf had wrapped up?

I rather see visitors from abroad see the shit we have to put up with!

A bad few weeks for unionism.

I read quite a few replies on social media wrt the comber cricket club thing. There are people who genuinely believe that the Gaa is like a wing of the ira.

They're shooting themselves in the foot massively here it's young kids who know f**k all about the IRA participating in a cross community summer scheme... what the f**k does it matter that they're members of the GAA?

Jamie's having to spin some contortions to explain it as a reasonable objection but anybody with half a brain knows the whole thing is wrong!

If you've never  ventured outside of  a bigoted unionist bubble , spoke or met anyone of  any other religion or colour,  there's a  high probability  you'd believe it.

The Orange Order don't even see the irony of telling the GAA that it needs to make progress on inclusivity. Absolute knuckle draggers.

Now,  that is a question!

how does the  orange order become more inclusive, when their whole reason for existing  And continuing , is their hatred  of all things Catholic.  Maybe their grand master  could answer that one?
