Didn't know they still played the irish league. Are Newry City still in it?

They must be one of the top clubs in Europe in terms of domestic domination.

They're a special outfit.

David Jeffrey - what a manager! The mickey harte of the irish league.

* kicks heels, taps desk, trying desperately not to rise to bait. Ah feck it *

ONeill, you need your head examined! Linfield's dominance is because they have a huge financial advantage through the revenue earned by OWC playing their matches at Windsor Park.

Ach come on now Orior. There are two clubs with higher wage bills. Linfield are where they are because of what they stand for - a well run club with a rich tradition and an excellent manager. Playing in that blue jersey is a dream for both sides of the divide.

Ach sure don't the City and Liverpool fans sing of Munich. Don't the Utd fans sing of Heysel and Hillsborough. There are sc**bag fans everywhere, especially soccer.

Even London in Tyrone.

Dont know who those other two clubs are. Glentoran and Crusaders?

You cant ignore the fact that Linfield have benefited from the OWC revenue stream. Plus, when the going got tough, didnt Linfield play all their away matches with Cliftonville in Windsor Park. How many home advantage points was that worth?

On another note, why was Belfast Celtic wound up?

Riots between the teams, Boxing day pitch invasion by the lovely Linfield fans

But there were other issues as well, think financial issues that ended it for them.
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

I think the BC board were up to their necks in debt and folded. The Park Centre is fairly crap though.

In all seriousness is there any other team in the world with the financial luxury of being bankrolled by their football association?

(Bugger all to do with secterianism or anything like that - logistically every other team is ten steps behind them to begin with. If they weren't dominant domestically then they would be nothing short of a disgrace.)
