Brazil are on a different level to Chile. A number of people on here and in the media tipped Chile to win this??? Never a chance of it.
The Brazilians are favourites now with an easier path to the finals.

Holland might have something to say about that Pat... could go to penos that tie
DRIVE THAT BALL ON!!

I think the Dutch have had an easy time of it so far, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon and Slovakia. Chile, and Ivory Coast are better teams imho and look what Brazil did to them.

3-1 to Brazil against the Dutch.

How long have Jim Beglin and Howard Webb been sleeping with each other?  Lick arse west Brit f**ker!!!  "he has the look of a World Cup referee", "Look at the referee, in there and controlling things so quickly" "he does really good reach around you know" :-*

but the dutch haven't really had to raise their game yet all, they had the luxury of bringing robben, safe in the knowledge that they could rest him to the knock outs.  Brazil have definitely looked more impressive, but i'd be very wary of the dutch if i were them.  The dutch have won a huge amount of games in a row at this stage.

I was disappointed with chile, i expected more, but their old failings in front of goal surfaced once again.

I used to like Beglin (as a footballer) but he really sickened my shite a couple of years ago with his praise for the Huns during commentary as they anti-footballed their way to the Uefa Cup final ... he's probably undoing Webb's zip with his teeth at this very moment

the world cup has been pretty poor til now but to be fair its really warming up now in these knock out rounds

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

The boys on Rte were very funny tonight. Dunphy was saying that giles was thick that chipper and himself had stolen all his lines at half time

Careful now,
afair, only one person here tipped an upset.

Capt Pat

A number in the tips contest got it into their head that this game would end in a draw????

Apres match was good tonight as well.
