The next time I hurt myself I'm going to collapse on the ground and roll over a couple of times, it must help with the pain.

the New Zealand goal today was offside, so in this case it wasn't simply the big team getting the decision.

The New Zealand player was also stupid pulling a shirt in the box - i think that should always be a pen - there is simply no need to ever do it.
If a pen was always given nobody would do it and it would take the subjective decision out of the refs hands. Same as putting your arms around a player, or over their shoulders.

My Granny would have scored that one.

Capt Pat

In that case your granny can replace Drogba for Chelsea when he goes off to play in the africa nations cup.

Most Italian defenders & John Terry do it at virtually every corner.  Ashley Cole pulled an Algerian by the shorts in full view of the ref.

My point is most refs are happy to maintain the status quo and see the big teams through or get a draw at worst.  Criticism from the FA of small countries falls on deaf ears but the Italian, English, German FAs can affect a referee's career.

Red for Kaka. Tickled Keita's ribs who went down clutching his face. Pathetic.
As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead

It's hard to have sympathy for Brazil, they're diving and rolling around as well.

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Thats why I would have it cracked down on every time.
Drogba went into the box earlier and lucio had a hold of his shirt that again coulkd have been called.

Also - kakas red - absolute joke. As bad as cahills

Capt Pat

Keita should get a ban for play acting, Brazil should be able to appeal that yellow card on video evidence.

Unbelievable decision that one, if anything Kaka was fouled.  Going to hurt the Ivory Coast in the long run mind as Brazil will be without him for the game against Portugal which the Ivory Coast will need them to win

Keita will get villified for the rest of his career yet Rivaldo's disgraceful antics v Turkey were quickly forgotten.

haranguerer

On the contrary, its all most people remember him for, as was stated in a lot of world cup review programmes I saw...

imtommygunn

John Terry says Rooney and Joe Cole are the only two who can open up defenses. That's good faith in Frankie and Stevie G...

Norf Tyrone

A lot of rightful vilification for the Ivorian there, but the Brazilians were heavy on the acting as well in that last five minutes or so.
