What world cup group was that match in?

Also what have the paper and tv pundits got to do with anything? They call it like they see it and recent Fermanagh form plus their history v Cavan pointed at a Cavan victory. Hardly controversial.

This is the same tired rallying call you always hear. You hear it even when the winning team was heavily fancied by all and sundry. "There was boys writing us off in the press, saying this team was done etc etc". Yawn.

Catch the high ball

I seen on the bbc website that the World Cup commitee are considering banning those horn yokes. I think it would take the South African nature away from the World Cup but they are feckin annoying.

Watched my first WC 2010 game tonight. Diabolical. Disgusted with myself that I missed Cavan/fermanagh for this shite.

Could anyone tell my why there's a truck strike going on during the match too. Doing my f**king head in.
you know comments like that, and not just from you, make us seem so insecure in our own sport.
I watched USA v England. It was shit. Thought Cavan v Fermanagh would be shit. Didn't watch it. Highlights didn't seem so bad. Regret the decision. Voice opinion on GaaBoard.

How does that display insecurity? ???
because you're falling over yourself to try and build the gaa up as being superior, that's insecurity.

13aside, that's a pathetic post, grow up ffs.

I think they should, it's annoying on tv, imagine what it must be like sitting in the stadium! You can't hear the crowd reaction to anything, just them f**king horns all the time.

The horns are doin heads clean in. It's different to blow them after a score but to constantly blow them you'd have to be a complete simpleton high on coke or a child.

It's like when you go to a big match in croker and it's ruined by some kid sittin in the row behind you blowing them horns into your ear flat out whether theres a score or not.

You cant get any sense of the crowds atmosphere/reaction to chances etc  at this world cup due to it

They are a part of South African football culture and haven't bothered me at all really. However i would ban them to listen to the crowd which is a part of world football culture.

Whatever happened to the rattles people used to bring to football games and why.

Milltown Row2

the horns don't bother me at all, thats the culture of Africans at football matchs.

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Four pretty average games after an entertaining opener. France-Uruguay was awful.

Nice to see ITV be lovely and racist when commenting on how they were impressed with the ref in the SA-Mexico despite his noticeable handicap of being from Uzbekistan. Jim Beglin giggled away to himself about it "not being a hotbed of football" immediately after Drury made it very clear that he was the Asian Federation's number one ref. Southgate had something similar at half time as well.

ITV were also dreadful in their analysis of England's performance last night - somehow reckoning that England had played well and were unlucky not to come away with a win.

As I've said before, I think the horns are great. This is a South African World Cup and that's how it's done over there. Fair enough, you wouldn't want to be sitting beside one for 90 mins, but moaning about it coming through the TV is a bit ridiculous. You can hear the commentary perfectly (except on BBC who appear to be having quite a few technical difficulties).

Not to mention the comment about some manager doing a "paddy" at half time.

MOTD2 analysis of England was much better and much more realistic!

What was that about? I went out to cut the grass.

I cant remember now, it was in the commentary during the game, can't remember what they were even talking about (I was only half listening) but commentator said something about a manager doing a "paddy"

surprised there hasn't been more talk about it

I have watched all the full 90 minute games so far, but this Slovenia Algeria game might break me.
