At Lansdowne rd it has to be Mark Kennedy's v Yugoslavia as the main contender to Parrott's. I don't know how Mick's adopted sainted kid wasn't already replaced as he was having a stinker of a game then out of the blue he picked up the ball in a lot of space, drifted across the line and from about 30m out he hit a screamer into the net. That goal was a winner and had the country still buzzing the next day.
On occasion he had that type of shot at goal in his repertoire. At least he got more kisses than Troy in the celebrations.

Penalty to ROI not sure why the ref was going to give a corner kick instead.  Scored, 1-0 ln front.

The ref didn't see it, too many players blocking his view, he didn't need much time on the var replay to change his mind.

Offside wasn't even mentioned. I think Scales touch would have played him onside as it was a deliberate intervention. May be making that rule up but seem to remember it from somewhere.
Could go either way look vulnerable when ball played over the top especially Scales.

Poor quality all round, set pieces were dreadful, apart from the one that forced the penalty. Ireland would be roasted in league A, if they finish 2nd in the table that should be good enough.
