QuoteIs it one ipod per user account on the computer?
I think I heard that somewhere but I dream things up all the time.

I have 3 iPod's running of one iTunes account a iPod 30gB and 2 8gB nano for some family, no bother, I just created a playlist for the 2 nanos and when you sync the nano you just select the playlist you need. Works for all my copied cd music and also music downloaded. The key is to only sync what you want on the smaller iPod.

Dont really know, I assume you have the volumn turned up, and that the song is not being paused, If yo uhave copied music to the iPod it should play, maybe do a bit of googling if that does not help.

Correct, all of the Ipod users in our house have their own iTunes and music in their own accounts on the same computer using XP Home with four user accounts.  Install iTunes in each account to pick up the Music folder in each account.
For sure I had my son's iPod mated to my iTunes at the same time as mine and we shared the one library no problem.
But it wasn't iTunes store bought music.

You can set also up iTunes to start up with a specified users iTunes library if you are not into installing iTunes into each User account.
Another option
If you have many different user accounts set up on Windows but you share some common music.
Isn't it possible to make one Music folder available to all users?
In that folder all music is kept.
And each user selects that music folder  for 'iTunes Music Folder Location'  in Advanced preferences - General

If you want to open up iPod to transfer music and copy music willy nilly on other computers then you need to use some iPod copy freeware.

Did the IPOD get wet at any time? My wife has not crasped the concept of electronics and water not working well together, I  have probems with the function key due it getting wet, it will play but when I go need to get back to the main menu I have to wait for the playlist to finish or hook my IPOD up to the computer.
