A win over Longford could give us a shot at the Dubs. Nice!!

Or we could meet them in the O'Byrne shield if things dont go quite to plan.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Billys Boots

Beware, the O'Byrne Cup is the highlight of the year in Longford.

Haven't the Dubs been sending out an u21 team in this for the past few years?

Should be a good scrap for the bihatimber in January! Roll on the new year
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

No, last year the senior where away in Spain so the U21 played. Dublin won this in 2007 and 2008
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Leinster Council call off all weekend aciton

Due to the current weather conditions, and the weather forecast for the weekend, the Leinster Council GAA has decided to postpone all eight games in Round I of OByrne Cup SF Competition which were scheduled for this weekend.
These games have been re-arranged for the following weekend - venues and times as originally scheduled.

Can't wait now for the big clash in Pearse Park - team of the decade up for grabs, according to Billy's recently published criteria. (I'm a 2001-2010 man meself. Death to the 2000-2009ites).

Billys Boots

Fighting words Hardy, put 'em up (as they might say in Bellewstown).

Its actually called Bell-yaas-town.

Meath Supporters Group are running a bus from Navan to Longford for it.

€15 a head = bargain

Think quite a few of our lads are lining out for their Alma Maters instead of the county team. King and Farrell are off galavanting Down Under for the winter, I think anyway. so we'll be without them.

Shamrock Shore thinks (and he's probably know) it's in Ballymahon.

The graveyard of champions.

Juice - it's actually called The Hill.

thats true, played my last game in Ireland up there. Are they using that pitch anymore or have they moved out to Duleek completely?

Shamrock Shore

Well fcuk that.

I was looking forward to the opening game of the season.

Game was scheduled for Ballymahon as the cows are Longford's 16th man. And we need all the help we can get.

Canalman

All O'Byrne Cup games are officially off this weekend.

Still open, but I don't know how much they use it.
