I think Platoon is probably my favorite.

But I also love Bridge over the River Kwai....and A Bridge Too Far....maybe I have a thing for bridges  :-\

Obviously a bridge thing, you've been confusing platoon with pontoon :D

The 1st 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan is probably the most spectacular piece of cinema I have ever seen.

Black Hawk Down is one of the best I've seen...others are The Deerhunter....and The Longest Day......

Black Hawk Down is one of the biggest loads of shite US propaganda films I've ever had the misfortune to watch. The Deerhunter and saving private ryan are two excellent films.

Sorry, have to revise my earlier choices to include Zulu. Watchable over and over again.

Where Eagles Dare is also a ripping movie.

Was some line in 'Wind that Shakes the Barley' when he shot the infomer, young fellow he'd known all his life, and turned to other IRA boy and says, 'I hope you're Ireland is worth all this'... indeed

The Great Escape. Kelly's Heroes is great too.

I found the film Shaving Ryan's Privates was a much more graphic and involving film than the original...
I'm gonna punch you in the ovary, that's what I'm gonna do. A straight shot. Right to the babymaker.
