Has anyone heard how the ticket sales are going for these two Gigs? I hope they get a cracking crowd!

More like a creaking crowd, with the likes of some of us that'll be there.

Shamrock Shore

Don't worry Hardy. I would expect us 40+ lads will show a nice move or two!

Dougal Maguire

Have any of you folk eaten at the Red Panda in the Odyssey?  I assume some of you will be in the Odyssey Bar before the gig starts.
Careful now

Sandino

Cod Liver Oil and Red Wine will help our creaking joints. Not sure about the bars at the venue. May have afew drinks in the venue after we get in.

Saw the band millling around a Belfast hotel bar and foyer this evening, looked relaxed ahead of their big gig anyway.

Shamrock Shore

That would be the ani-arthrithic drugs. Kinda brings on a stupour!

This is it lads and lassies. This is it. I've waited for this day for nearly 30 years.

Only Longford winning Sam/Leinster/A match would rank up there with what's happening the next few nights.

Sandino

Shamrock, I agree with what you say. I have waited the best part of 30 years for tomorrow night. I have been to see some iconic artists over those last 30 nyears. Horslips were still the most exciting act I have ever seen!!!

The Omens increase, its snowing here in Omagh. How many gigs did we have to cope with bad weather on route?

Shamrock Shore

Sunny in Dublin. Sunny in the head of Shamrock Shore.

May meet up later Sandino. Fear ón Strath Bán and myself have swapped mobiles and I believe ye boys know each other.

There will be a mad crowd from the Official website there. One has even flown in from San Francisco. Francie Quinn is still looking for a filddle to fling back at Charles O'Connor. Hope he doesn't injure him if he is successful in getting one.

Sandino

We I'm just about to leave the aul work now and get ready for the trip to Belfast. Lets Rollback the years and I hope you all have a great night at the show. A safe journey to you all, lets hope it's a night to remember for all the right reasons.

Fear ón Srath Bán

What an utterly fantastic night, one that will burn eternally in this particular noggin.

Great to meet Shamrock Shore, Dougal and Sandino (and families and companions), gents one and all.

The band were in top form, and barely showing any signs at all of their 30 years' absence. Was quite a sight: a floor full of 40 or 50 somethings trying to rubberise the Odyssey floor with Dearg Doom, and almost succeeding, and bending a few bones in the process.

"Charles O'Connor... ", says Barry Devlin, "Setanta's little helper!"

"That's it", says O'Connor, "Pick on the Brit why don't you"  :D

Priceless.
