Do the referrees not text the score in once finished?
I thought ( could be wrong) the website updated from the text message.

They do, but the system has to be implemented to allow this.

It does. The Tyrone CBs website auto updates very quickly it most senses.

However I can do the Owen Roes fixtures, bar the fact I can't get a signal at our pitch.

The Greencastle results gets updated on our website via the ref's text also. So it will be updated fairly quickly too.

O didn't realise the county board were as high tech!
The the only results you should be waiting on is the ones where the ref is being jundeyed around the field!

The GAA have paid for this service, but didn't tell any clubs, just the county boards. I took a chance and emailed ServaSport and they said clubs were covered.

Interesting. How do you then integrate this feed into your website then Ziggy, and how are the ladies results done?

That's what I was going to ask?

ServaSport will provide you with all the necessary coding and instructions on how to embed them on your site. Also give you the relevant files to update to the server.

As for the ladies, unfortunately this still has to be done manually.

Cheers Zig, just trying to get a website done for a LGFC, it would have been v. useful if it came off the Servasport system.

No bother Fionn, sorry it didn't work out that way for you.

Incidentially:

A year or 2 ago there was a bit of debate on the board as to if the 2008 AI winning minor team was as good as that of 1998.

Some posters felt it was.

In light of how that team has progressed over the last few years what would the view be now?

I dont want to post this on the main board as I dont want to take away from the Cavan victory last night.

Any truth in the rumours that club games are to be played at the regular times on sunday?

From what I hear some clubs are making contact with each other and agreeing to play games at the normal Sunday times-not sure if it's a wholesale change

This is allowable if both clubs agree then?
