Strange one, from where I was standing behind the goalposts McCullagh's strike looked like it had went over the top of the post and hence wide, but on the video on the County Board website it's a clear point! 

Thankfully there wasn't extra time, the way that game was going I'd probably still be in Omagh right now! Certainly not a classic game. Three sendings off and twelve other yellow cards would suggest a dirty game, but it wasn't that so much rather there was a fair bit of niggly stuff going on. The final whistle went after the final score, Brian McGuigan was going apeshit at one of the umpires. Thought he was going to burst a blood vessel. On tonights form I can't see either team being strongly fancied for the O'Neill cup.

No date and venue announced yet for the replay. Next weekend obviously Sunday is out with the All-Ireland final, Friday night is a double header in Omagh with Carrickmore/Clonoe while Saturday afternoon in Coalisland has Galbally/Rock and Moortown/Derrylaughan. Saturday evening is a possibility but would need a floodlight venue - surely they wouldn't take Ardboe to Omagh again considering the distance? The only other venue I can think of available would be Greencastle.

There was a good 3-4,000 there tonight and you could expect as many again with a Saturday night game. Don't think Greencastle could cope with the volume, especially traffic. Won't be surprised if it's Omagh again.

Going by the radio it seemed that all the handbags as injury time started was what beat Ardboe, there was three minutes left, was it Ardboe trying to slow the game or Dromore losing the cool?

So what did the umpires say to the referee when they brought him over after McGuigan was on the ground? Why was the Dromore number 7 booked after the referee talked to his umpires? Should this then not have been a hop ball as Ardboe were penalised at least twice for something similar earlier in game? Also, when did the rule change that when a player is fouled when kicking the ball the free is from where the ball lands. Brian McG was fouled when kicking the ball, the ball went in a straight line towards centre of posts, yet the referee gives the free from where he was fouled, close to side line and Ardboe miss the free which would not have been missed if correctly should have been given straight in front of the posts.

No. 7 was seen striking McGuigan by the umpire. This was passed to the referee who decided to only issue a yellow card. I have no doubt this game will be reviewed and 7 will be suspended for the replay and quite possibly a few other players will be sweating.

All the same, if Ardboe did play a bit on the side of codology, isn't it great to see a team match Dromore who are the kings of skulduggery and the dark arts.
