Alot of use men are reading too much into history. What evidence is there that this carrickmore team has more winning experience than donaghmore? We are talking about a team with plenty of all ireland medals in it at youth level. From what i seen Donaghmore played all the football on Saturday,Donaghmore by two.

The evidence has been shown when this generation of carmen lost narrowly in the final in 2022 to Errigal and were a minute or two from a final last year. Have proven that they can play in them games, Donaghmore never in them games to begin with.

Carmen were absolutely horrendous tonight looked unfit and clueless for large parts of the game. They certainly won't have to worry about big ears coming home anytime soon. Donaghmore, on the other hand, were very impressive. A victory like that will do wonders for their confidence, especially with a very winnable semi-final ahead.

Off the top of my head Carrickmore were beaten by 7 points by Edendork in 2023 and also by 7 points to Omagh in 2015. Most other defeats they've had in my lifetime would have been narrow enough. Will do well to find them getting any other beating like that in their history.

Joey Clarke a very tidy player who should be knocking on the door for All Star nominations in the future. Didn't watch, what went wrong for Carmen. I don't buy into all this 'tradition' nonsense but I do expect most Carmen teams to give you a tight game no matter the players they have
